I cannot say enough about the Bergantin hotel in San Antonio, it is very clean, the rooms are basic but spotless & plenty of room. The only thing I did find stange about our room, it only had one plug socket about seven foot up so using straighteners & a hairdryer was tricky.

Hotel Apolo is a typical 18-30’s hotel. I’ve stayed there for the last 3 summers (2007/08/09). There is always something going on & there is always a good vibe. It has a basic pool area which is clean & tidy. Music is playing until about 2am, the staff are fantastic & friendly. Even Juan the night security guard.

The food is basic but decent, but there is a cafe at the end of the road. The West End of San An is a bit of a walk, but there are a few bars on the way. All in all it’s a great place to stay. Look forward to seeing you next year.

Just back after two very hot weeks at “Ses Savines” in San Antonio. Cant fault the place: nice staff, nice food, best location, entertainment is OK. Bit noisy during the night from returning revellers but nothing earplugs cant stop. Was my 5th visit to these two hotels (paired with Arenal up the road) and IMO the best family holidays anywhere on Ibiza.

The room was basic but clean, and the shower could have been a bit better ( ie it wasn’t power ). The food was good & there was plenty of it plus the drinks were plentiful, but a bit slow to arrive sometimes. We knew it was at the top of a hill in Cala Llonga but for two adults that was ok.

The staff were very helpful & friendly and the entertainment was good for young families. The staff worked very long & hard at it and we would love to return to the Montemar Apartments again.

We flew Easyjet to San Antonio & booked the Marfil hotel by researching highly recommended hotels via various hotel review websites. The hotel Marfil was highly recommended & lived up to it’s reputation for cleanliness & helpful & welcoming staff.

What a lovely little hotel this is, very clean, good food, great location, friendly staff & good Thompson reps. We had a superior room which had a great sea view. Didn’t see much of the evening entertainment but

We were initially very disappointed because we arrived at the Playa Real Hotel at 5am & they had no record of our accommodation, however the porter found us two rooms & was helpfull. Then we discovered through friends that the hotel had been closed for two years & only reopened the day of our arrival!

The hotel was a bit shabby & the pool was dirty, the kids play area unusable & tiles were broken around the poolside. There were electric wires hanging out & none of the external services e. g . Showers etc. were working. We complained & found the staff to be very calm & agreeable. The manager walked round with me & was very sympathetic. Told us what was happening & about the proposed schedule of improvements and gave us a free meal voucher for the hotel (which we did not use because the food was awful). Our friends booked out immediately & went to another hotel, but we were happy that it was clean & the rooms were nice with good views.

From then on the hotel improved every day, all faults were rectified & the staff were really good. The hotel’s position on the beach is the best in the bay at Talamanca. We only slept in the hotel so the other facilities or lack of them did not affect us, in fact it was nice to be somewhere so quiet not only to the ear but away from other holiday makers!

Whilst at the hotel our holiday company went into adminisration, which again was dealt very well by the manager & we even ended up £200 better off because of the deal he gave us!

So overall, we can see the potential of the hotel and the ideal position, outlook & cleanliness together with the staff attitude made up for the faults. But when sorted out this hotel in the high season will be the biggest in the bay & possibly the buisiest! So be ready to battle with the Germans for those sunbeds!

Stayed at the Mar y Huerta hostal in May 2009, £332 each two weeks half board (£664 total).

It’s a small hotel that has been recently refurbished to a good standard with great staff & located across the road from the beach which makes it a good choice. The hotel offers great value and is spotlessly clean but is basic holiday accommodation. Lots of holiday makers return every year to this hotel apparently!

We have just come back from a great holiday at San Miguel hotel. I went with my husband & our 3 children aged 11 months 10 & 13. there was something for all three of them & they had a great holiday. The food was lovely, weather was lovely & entertainment was really good. We would definitely go back.

If we do go back next year we will stay in the beach club as the lifts in the hotel were a pain with the pram. that is the only complaint we have about the hotel. if you are going this year i’m sure you will have a great time.
