We booked this holiday package last minute (two days before we left) & weren’t expecting much. When we arrived at the hotel it seemed lovely & was well situated right in the heart of San Antonio bays main strip.

The reception staff were great & on on arrival in our room were extremely pleased with the standard of the room & it’s cleanliness. The whole hotel was spotless with the pool area being cleaned every night along with the rest of the hotel.

The food was what you expect when you go to a 3 star hotel abroad. Its never going to be like the food back home. My partner & I thoroughly enjoyed it finding something different every night, no complaints there as long as you go with an open mind.

The staff were excellent, all bar staff remembered what we were drinking & would start pouring it when they saw us walking up to the bar. Were very friendly & had good chat.

The hotel is a very good 3 star we stayed on all inclusive holiday, the food could not be faulted with Mexican, Chinese nights also a very good standard pool bar serving burgers, hot dog ham & cheese toasties, chips onion rings, pizzas, etc.

Plenty of sunbathing space with 3 pools two for kids. There are plenty of stag & hen parties that use the hotel but a strict no nonsense policy in place for the unruly because this hotel has plenty of families they need not worry.

The location is good being just 100 yards to your right from shops & pubs etc & to the left about 300 yards many places with kids eating free. I must mention the staff who mostly speak English they were so friendly & couldn’t do enough for you, with the barmaid making us a going home cocktail if you ask.

We have just returned from this hotel & we had a great stay. We arrived mid morning & had been warned we may not be allowed to book in till 2pm. We received a warm greeting & were given our keys straight away.

First impressions were good & the room was clean & all we needed & expected. The room was cleaned every day & towels changed when required. The tables around the bar & snack bar area were not always as clean as they should have been but that was the only fault we had with the cleanliness.

We stayed in Mar Amantis two for two weeks all inclusive, we had a party of 24 & have no complaints about the hotel. The food was fine, there was always something to choose; if not you always had the snack bar to fall back on.

The entertainment at night was average, including bingo, parrot show. African & flamingo dancers, etc, & throughout the day there was kids darts, volleyball, pool, water polo.

Pool area was brilliant, never had to worry about the kids as they were always in view. There was always cleaning staff about doing a brilliant job & the bar staff were fine.

We stayed all inclusive for a week at this hotel & were very apprehensive as there were not many good reviews. How wrong the reviews were, the hotel was spotless, towels changed & beds made every day.

The food was lovely, plenty of variety.

The hotel staff were all very helpful & friendly. Coco the entertainer was lovely & worked very hard. The evening entertainment does need to be worked on though; we only had two good shows out of the 7 nights.

Great for families, the pools are lovely & clean.

Would definitely visit this hotel again.Lovely package holiday :)

Booked a week’s self catering for 7 of us for £1200 from Luton, which we thought was a good deal through Portland. Had to wait two hours in the bar at the hotel on arrival until our rooms were ready at 2pm, which was a bit of a disappointment, but allowed us immediately to be introduced to the ‘entertainment.

Â’Â…Same old stuff, rifle shooting, French boules, cocktail games, darts, killer pool, ArcheryÂ…etc, etc, etc. Rooms? Basic: in fact the whole hotel needs a bit of a refurb. They are really winging it with a 3+ rating; this is no more than two stars in my experience.

Indoor pool was used twice by us; Â…too small for the amount of guests, however the hot-tub was great! Main pool was impressive but freeeeeeeeeeeeezing! Reception staff were great. We upgraded to half board for 405 euros for 3 adults 3 kids & a baby. Glad we did as we were pleasantly surprised at the quality for the price.

Salou was dead with unlimited choices to eat so definitely worth the money. Restaurant staff? A lso fab. Bar prices? Average, but make good use of a happy hour two hours a night. Evening entertainment? Same old same old. Mini disco game, bingo, acrobat-plate spinners, etc, etc. Entertainers worked hard but let down by a ‘member of the team’ who we all know from previous reviews & has now been suspended.

All in all, a very average holiday that was just worth the price, kids loved it which is all that matters to me. Would I go again? No – but only because now we have stayed there we know there are many better quality hotels for the price in the Mediterranean. If you are looking for somewhere in Salou, these apartments are much better than ‘Festival VillageÂ’ in Cap Salou, but in no way compare to other 3+ hotels I’ve stayed at in Ibiza & Tenerife.
