You can’t beat the Cala Nova hotel in Es Cana for a relaxing holiday, whether you are travelling as a family with children, teenagers or as a couple. It’s welcoming, friendly & in a superb location.

The hotel is absolutely spotless. The staff work very hard, are personable & welcome us back year after year. We have met some lovely people at the Cala Nova & I would say if you want a relaxing, quiet

This was the second time we have stayed at the Riomar Hotel in Santa Eulalia and once again we were not disappointed. The location is perfect & it is well worth paying the extra to get a sea view. It was lovely to look out in a morning & see the lovely blue sea, looking down off our 4th floor balcony were palm trees, sand & the sea. No traffic & it was so peaceful. The hotel is situated on the quiet side of the pedestrian walkway & there is a lovely walk across

We went on this holiday self catering, it was a last minute deal and all in was less than £200, so expectations were relatively low. However, we were suprised by the standard of cleanliness in the rooms. It was a shame that the beds were single rather than double, but the rooms were spacious and the cleaners attended regularly, although the sheets were not changed when the room was cleaned. nice balcony and view as well.

The downside for me was the kitchen facilities supplied which were overly basic. Two electric hobs, 1 pan, 1 frying pan and a stew pot. enough plates, cups and cutlery for 3 people. If you want a toaster or kettle you must rent these for 15euros each, which i thought was dissapointing. also the kitchen was not provided with a dish cloth, washing up liquid and the tea towel was not changed (though luckily we brought a spare).

The safe is very good and works on a electronic code that you decide on, and if only 22euros inc deposit. the resort do not insist on keeping your passports for more than 10 minutes when you check in and the reception service is generally good.

There is also an internet service available, pay as you use of course. There is a bar/resteraunt (drinks expensive, didnt try the food), pool table, air hockey, arcade games, ample seating/tables/sun loungers. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and not in a ‘we just use you for tips’ kind of way.

The pool area is very nice for a budget hotel and is kept clean.

There is no shop in the hotel itself for buying essentials but there is plenty of shops in the area just a short walk away, though shop around for the best prices as some are just unbelievable, literally double uk prices.

The location is nice, a short walk away from the shops and a 15 minute walk from the clubs and pubs. it is right on the sea front and has a small beach very closeby.

the big downside of this hotel is really the kitchen facilities supplied, charging for kettle etc. and also, you will be woken up every morning by clubbers coming back and some members of the lower working classes feel that when in ibiza, everyone is so up for it they want to listen to them shout and scream at all times of the day, but these were generally the british causing the problems.

There is no entertainment within the hotel, but i kind of like that aspect. And sometimes the staff forget that music is playing in the pool area and it will carry on into the evening, but a gentle reminder soon solves that one. the staff really were very nice.

We arrived at the Club playa expecting very little but were pleasantly surprised as all 3 Hotels now use the Imperial reception area. Our room was dated but very clean, clean sheets, towels etc daily.
The dining room was dated but the food was good for a 3*, some bits were cold at times but could be heated up in the microwave. Something for everyone daily and the show cooking turned out some good roasts and steaks on an evening. We ate at one of the 3 snack bars at lunch, having toasties, Pizza’s were advertised but do not come onto the menu apparently until June according to one of the waiters, very dissapointing, come on get it sorted boys. The drinks even though local brew were strong especially when you have had a few in the hot sun, the sun shone all week which was an added bonus in the first week in May.
Cala Longa is very quiet but the local Bus service is worth using to get out and about, the sands are very clean and were being leveled whilst we were there, ready for the main season, we would not want to go during June, July and Aug as it would be manic, the queues were starting as we left on the 8th.
It would be better if the hotels were all Inclusive as the B & B and half board clients took priority from the waiters wanting tips.
I am sorry but the entertainment was terrible, it only gets a 2 because we have come home still singing the club song (Sun shines for you)we laughed alot at the disorganised chaos on an evening, the Brazil show being the worst.
All in the rating is correct and for the price we got our monies worth but please, please do something about the entertainment!!

There are a couple of things to bear in mind before you read this review:
- It was late April when we visited and as such, the resort and hotel were very quiet.
- We paid less than £20 pppn for All Inclusive

We had booked for the S’Estanyol complex - basically that means the San Remo and S’Estanyol hotels
and also the Xaloc Apartments. Most guests were given rooms in the San Remo.

The rooms were very spacious even when the sofa bed was set up for our teenager sharing the room.
The furniture and decor was good, mini fridge was free but safe was a little expensive at €3 per day.
No tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms but the flat screen TV was a welcome surprise
although there were limited English speaking channels. Remote for the TV was a €20 deposit.
Sea view rooms had a fantastic view across the bay.
A good-sized bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath (didn’t work on our room but did in 2 others).
Good level of cleanliness but the daily maid service was a little inconsistent. Towels changed
on demand (drop them on floor for clean ones).
Bed sheets not changed in 5 night stay (not that I would at home either !)

The AI drinks were available between 10.00am and 11.30pm in the bar in the San Remo
and were fine considering the price we paid. Estrella Damm lager and local spirits.
Plastic ‘Glasses’ a bit on the small side but there was never a queue so not really a problem.
Nobody seemed to enforce the 2 drinks per person rule I had read about. A good cup of fresh
coffee was available at the bar.

The food let the hotel down a bit - limited choice of mains with a high prevalence of pork.
Two or Three main hot dishes (always one fish), a vegetable dish and mainly chips with the
odd appearance of boiled potatoes. Plenty of bread and salads always available.
Standard desserts - jellies, mousses, cakes, tinned fruits and fresh fruits. Draught wine, beer,
and soft drinks available in the dining room for lunch and dinner.
Breakfast consisted of Bacon (streaky), beans, frankfurter sausages and eggs that varied from
day to day - boiled, fried, and scrambled. Hot drinks and juices available. Usual selection of breads,
pastries, cereals and fruit.

The restaurant manager was a bit bossy - must wear shoes, no prams, drinks into the restaurant
but on the whole the staff were friendly and helpful.

The pool area was small with limited sunbeds - just about coped with the number of people in the hotel.
In peak season I would imagine it would be a nightmare - having said that, the Xaloc across the road
had a large pool area and plenty of beds but the pool was just being cleaned and filled as we
were there.
No sunbeds on the small beach this early but everyone helped themselves to the beds at the S’estanyol pool
and took them on the beach !

No entertainment or kids club but the Pink Panther opposite had a quiz each night and cheap drinks before
10pm for a quick escape.

Would I stay there again - at this price and out of season - a definite YES !

A no frills, budget accommodation.
It was just a 3 night break out of season and there were very few rooms occupied so it was very quiet.
Reception and cleaning staff were friendly and helpfull, reception was not staffed 24/7 at this time of year so on checking in we were given a contact phone number should any problems arise. Good location just a few minutes walk to the beach and the bars.

We adored our stay at this hotel. It was perfect. Staff were absolutly brilliant, especially Piotrek, Alexandro, Cornelio and Filepe. They were always happy to help.
The food was beautiful, especially the yellow rice and the muscles :)
Clean and fairly modern reception area and bar. Rooms were fine, and location couldn’t have been better.
Beach was lovely, white soft sands and soothing music.
Hotel pool was lovely for relaxing.
Highly recommened to everyone!
