Hotel is one of the best we have stayed in.Spotless every where.Good size pool area and sunbathing. One drawback is its 20mins walk from beach .We have just come back and THOMSONS are taking it over as a GOLD Hotel next week .Dont know if thats a good thing or not ,staff at Hotel are not happy about it .Just one compaint ,in booking in we had a safety box are were charged 14.50 euro plus 3 euros deposit but you DONT get the 3euros back at end of stay ,we were told it was a mistake ,all people we spoke to had theire 3euros deposit kept

just stayed here for a week full board. Lovely hotel good food very clean etc. Bar staff were the friendliest weve come across, other staff were ok but those in dining room seemed a little frosty.
entertainment was very much geared up for the Spanish but there was always something on if you wanted to stay in.the hotel is in a good position so we went out most nights. The lifts if you are on a high floor can be a nightmare they are tiny and very busy during meal times. i dread to think how busy they would be in high summer. mostly elderly people in the hotel with a few families but i was impressed apart from the entertainment so would reccomend this hotel

having found these apartments with Travel Republic for £30 a night I thought I’d give them a go because of the reviews on this site and others (Trip Advisor have it particularly high for a 2* place)

the location is superb if you want to be near the old town well away from the tourist end of town. Right in the heart of the city and i had a great balcony overlooking one of the cities streets that led straight down to the sea.

The reception staff were expecting me and had everything ready. A £60 or 60 euro deposit was needed. Got the TV remote control and air con remote in exchange!

Apartment small but perfectly formed. living area had kitchenette with microwave, no kettle though but microwaving water for coffee works. Huge fridge and dining table. Also had sofa, tv (Eurosport and CNN in English - though reception not great - but hey you’re not there to watch TV)

Balcony was big enough for two to sit on. Bedroom had two single beds pushed together. Huge, comfortable pillows and blankets came in useful- I’m a bit nesh, northerners will know what I mean by that!

Bathroom was small but all worked well - and thats what I call a power shower!

use of the pool at the Avenida Hotel opposite was great. the rooftop pool was heated which was superb as the sea was too cold. IT was a nice little suntrap up there. You could opt for half board or I believe all inclusive if you wanted to - but to be honest there is so much going on in benidorm I wouldnt like to be stuck in one place.

all in all perhaps the fixtures and fittings are a little dated but for the money you cant complain. £30 a night was so worth it and i would heartily recommend it as a great base.

if you are particularly interested in the tourist area, its about a 20 minute walk or 6 euros in a cab of which there are many within a couple of mins work. if you’d rather have the more spanish experience along side some great bars and restaurants you could do much worse than staying here.

The one downside is that as its built in an atrium with all the rooms leading off, the old heavy doors do many a crash when they are closed! And also the maids get busy from around 8am and don’t speak quietly! But a small price to pay for such an excellent place to stay.

Just got back from out 3rd stay at the Presidente.
We love this hotel because of it’s location and indoor pool.
Everywhere is spotlessly clean. Staff are friendly and very helpful.
Food was good, not a massive selection but always something we liked.
Didn’t really see much entertainment, but what we did see was aimed more at the older generation.
Will definitely return.

The apartments were clean although it was very cold at night. The staff were friendly and polite. The location was central to all pubs and clubs and 10 minutes walk to the beach.

We stayed for our 3rd time at the Palm Beach.

Benidorm itself is not really us, but the Palm Beach out of the main holiday season is….mostly older spanish people use the hotel so both the menu and the entertainment is geared for this which suits us as it meant the pool area was quiet and the atmosphere in the restaurant is quite family orientated (several generations sitting together chatting and enjoying their food and a glass of wine) Staff are pleasant and the rooms are basic but clean.

Yes, the hotel is up a hill but nothing too taxing (8 minutes to the beach, 15 back)

We are looking forward to our 4th visit early in 2010 (unless we find a last minute bargain later in the year)

the rooms were cleaned, towels changed everyday .hairdryer also in the rooms for you ladies that need one.the food was very good although none of our party were fussy eaters. all inc. from 9 in the morning till 12at night. there were a few large parties in the hotel which at night spoilt it a little when had far too much beer and you couldn’t sleep. all in all we would go back to this hotel again and the titanic bar next door is also a very good bar for you sport hungry people with big screens etc.
