Nereo Hotel Servigroup – Benidorm – Costa Blanca
Went for a week FB at the Nereo hotel with my partner. I booked last minute which is why we had FB as this isn’t our usual choice. However, you can request a packed lunch the day before you require it & it is excellent.
It’s a lovely hotel, fairly small for Benidorm but with very helpful & pleasant staff everywhere: reception, cleaning staff or dining room. We found the food to be excellent with great variety & you can always find something you like - there were many varieties of fish served at each meal too. I can’t eat garlic or peppers due to an allergy but I could always find something and I loved the fresh fruit! Having stayed previously at another Servigroup hotel, I knew the food would be good.
The air conditioning is very effecient, the pool & sun terrace not too crowded. No hair dryer in the bathroom so take your own, also a travel kettle if you like your cup of tea! There is a (free) fridge in the room which I thought was great & a TV although with limited channels. We had a 3rd floor room overlooking the pool but also the busy road. I wouldn’t have liked a non-pool facing room as there was no “view” there at all.
The location is handy for all amenities in Benidorm but I didn’t really like the fact is was situated on a busy road as I personally prefer a quieter spot, but once the patio doors are shut, there was very little noise & it’s pretty common to find that issue in Benidorm anyway. That was my only negative.
Entertainment was staged every night, which seemed OK – singers mostly, but we went out.
Overall, an excellent hotel & good for couples. Only saw a few children staying there, & didn’t see any kid’s entertainment at all so other hotels may be a better choice for those wanting that. It is very popular with the Spanish and I would re-visit if the price was right.
