Silchoro Hotel Complex – Albufeira – Algarve

Arrived at the Silchoro hotel 9. 30am only to be told our rooms weren’t ready! We waited five hours before they were and as we hadn’t had any sleep for 24hrs this was quite irritating, but then we had got a cheap last minute deal so that compensated I guess.

The rooms were very spacious & clean and the hotel food was very reasonable. The downside of it was that the beach in albufeira was a fair walk & they were charging seven euros each for a sunbed & umbrella which we thought was a bit steep as we have been to other countries in the EU & 4 euros was the most we have paid.

We wouldn’t visit this hotel again, but only because next time we go to Portugal we would like to be in Albufeira old town as it was more interesting & has better beaches.
