Mayflower Apartments – Tingaki – Kos

We have just returned from a two week stay at the Mayflower apartments in Kos. This is the first time we have stayed in Tingaki and we had a two bed apartment with a lounge area, kitchen area & two bathrooms & three balconies, which were very spacious.

The pool area is clean & spacious & there are plenty of sunbeds for everyone. We travelled as a family with two teenagers, who really enjoyed themselves & made plenty of friends. The swimming pool & the pool table were their favourites. Christos & his family give you a friendly welcome & by the time you leave are friends – they just can’t do enough for you.

The food was good & every night there was something on the menu for everyone. Tingaki itself is a nice, quiet resort but has plenty of restaurants & bars to sample, our favourites being Sagattarius & Spyros and th best restaurant locally is Oromedon in Zia. The Barbecue at the aparments is a must with plenty of Greek dancing & fabulous food so we did this twice as it was so good. Would also suggest that you visit Zia up in the mountains to see the sunset – you will need to be there around 7.30pm in August but it is spectacular.

The pictures on the Thomson website do not really show you how good the Mayflower apartments are but the Mayflower’s own website gives you more information & better pictures. I would recommend these apartments to families with children or teenagers & couples of all ages, as everyone got on so well together.

We will be returning when we come back to Kos as it was so good.
