Peter’s Kool Pool Appartments are basic but that’s hardly unusual on a holiday package in Greece and the most important factor is that they are clean. The cleaner comes in every day except Sunday & the bed linen & towels are changed at least twice a week. The Appartments have all you need for self catering but there are so many places to eat in the Village of Kardamena that you’re better off going out.

We were a bit disappointed with the Caravel hotel on arrival. We had a long day so were tired & a bit tetchy by the time we hit Zante. Our room was in the Zeus building & on the ground floor overlooking the car park. The lock was broken on the door leading out to the balcony. The room was big & spacious with plenty of cupboard space. there was a fridge which came in handy to keep your drinks cool. There was a safety deposit box in the wardrobe which you pay for at reception.

We have just returned from a great week at the Nostos Hotel in Ithaca. This was our first trip to “Ithaki”, which we arranged independently although greatly assisted by Nicki at the Nostos who organised our taxis & speedboat transfers over from Kefalonia.

The Panorama hotel in Koukounaries is well presented & spotlessly clean. There is free air conditioning in all rooms along with plenty of storage space for your clothes, something which is often lacking with other hotels. Nikos the owner & all his staff were very helpful & friendly, particularly the restaurant staff who worked very long hours yet nothing was too much trouble for them.

Beware if you book a package holiday to the Sea Horse hotel in lesbos with Thomas Cook Online asthey will tell you that a sea view is no problem and it doesn’t mention a surcharge but if you are unlucky you will get the “castle” view. We could not blame the hotel staff as they are only given the accommodation codes a couple of weeks before you get there. Other than that, the Sea Horse is a great little hotel.

3 girls early 30’s went to Kavos in Corfu for one week in early September 2009. First impressions of the Agnes hotel were OK, except the reception to check into was in a really small shop!. The room was pretty small & basic but it did the job as we only wanted to use the room to sleep in.

Travelled with Thompson in May to the 5 star Rithymna Beach hotel. Flights to Crete were all good & our coach was found with ease with the help of our Rep. The journey by coach was not for the faint hearted - driver drove very fast around very bendy roads, one handed on his mobile phone!
