Kaloudis Studio Apartments – Arilas – Corfu

The studio apartment we had at Kaloudis was lovely & clean with well kept gardens. There are cats, dogs & tortoises kept by the owners. The dogs can be noisy at night barking but all their pets are well looked after (important for us animal lovers).

The pool area is well maintained but you are expected to buy drinks & food from the pool bar, not take your own. It seems a bit more expensive than other places in the resort. It can be noisy on nights when there are a few people in the bar (we found it noisy up until about 3am).

It felt like if you spent plenty of money there, the main owner was very helpful. If you chose to go elsewhere then they were not so accommodating. I know they have a buisness to run, but at times it felt like they were only interested in your money.

Kitchen equipment is very basic & it took about 30 minutes to grill a piece of toast. No hairdryers provided, so take your own if you need one of these. Kettle provided.

It’s location is near the beach in Arilas & was good, although no sea views from a lot of the apartments, but they look out over good gardens. There is a bit of a hill to walk up and one member of our party had a heart condition & found this a little much in the heat.

Overall, clean, good location but could be a bit more friendly, although some of the owners/staff were friendly. There is a mini market within two minutes walk (half way up that hill though). I would not book this hotel/apartment again as I have found much quieter and friendly ones elsewhere in Corfu.
