Seabreeze Hotel – Brighton – UK

I’ve always had a soft spot for Brighton. It’s a lively place on the South coast with good shopping and a vibrant nighlife. The Seabreeze hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from the beach in the Kemptown area. It’s a small hotel – probably what you’d call boutique I guess – but very clean and with friendly staff and some good rates on their website (Brighton Seabreeze Hotel). It says it has 4stars and a Silver award which only 10% of hotels in the UK are awarded, so it can’t be that bad!

The rooms aren’t huge, but they are a decent enough size for a break and you get a good breakfast. There’s a hairdryer and even something called an “ironing board” in the room (er…what’s that for then?). It’s easy reach to the shops and the pier too. In fact you can walk most places from here. Brighton has a good aquarium, a typical English seaside pier (check out the hot ring-donuts!!), a long pebble beach and a marina, where there is also a casino if you want.

There is apparently a nudist beach here too, but didn’t see it myself! Oh and a little train that runs along the seafront! Love it.
