SAS Radisson Hotel – Taba Heights – Egypt

We booked a cheap & cheerful all inclusive package holiday to what should have been a cracking place, the SAS Radisson Hotel in Taba. The location only gets a 2 in my book and that’s because of the close proximity of a stunning coral reef where we spent a lot of time snorkelling & watching the fabulous marine life.

Otherwise the Tadisson hotel is miles from anywhere. The entertainment is only provided by a lounge singer till 11pm & the animation team. The staff are okay, some better than others to be fair. A tip helps here & there. The place itself should be wonderful – they even fixed our AC immediately- but the grounds smell terribly of what I can only describe as camel droppings etc. I kid you not!

We, like a good many others, also suffered with diarrhea which, joking aside, really spoils the holiday but we weren’t ill from the food as in suffering from food poisoning. Ive no idea what caused it, but we didn’t seem able to control it with the usual treatments so I guess it must have been in the water.

In short – reef great, room great but the holiday badly let down by illness & the smell around the hotel.
