Panorama Hotel – Koukounaries – Skiathos

The Panorama hotel in Koukounaries is well presented & spotlessly clean. There is free air conditioning in all rooms along with plenty of storage space for your clothes, something which is often lacking with other hotels. The rooms have a fridge & television and are very well furnished with big comfortable beds – deep mattresses & massive pillows rather than the single thin pillows you often find in Greece!

The rooms are very spacious & well decorated & have different settings for the room lighting rather than a single overhead lamp. The bathrooms are well laid out & are equipped with one of the best showers I have ever had on a Greek island & it is fixed to the wall too! The room key is a swipe card rather than a key.
Rooms are cleaned every day & fresh towels are supplied daily too. Everywhere is spotlessly clean in this hotel and the staff obviously take great pride in their work.

The swimming pool & surrounding area is well maintained & the hotel will provide towels for use by the pool on request. Breakfast is the traditional Greek buffet breakfast, i. e., bread (there is a toaster) jams, honey, cold meats, egg, cheese, fruit juice, yoghurt & fruits along with cereals, tea & coffee.
In the evening, the hotel’s restaurant serves excellent food and it’s a reasonable price too. There is a wide selection of meals available & the house wine is excellent. The staff seem very friendly & will help you with any queries or problems you may have.

The only minor niggle I had is that the reception was hardly ever manned. This in itself was no great problem as there was always a member of staff close by to assist me if I had an issue. This was my second stay in Koukanaries & my first in the Panorama hotel but I would definitely stay here again!
