Optimist Apartments – Playa de las Americas – Tenerife

Best of luck. ! just come home from the aptly named Optimist Apartments and I won’t go in to too much detail, but after coming home from the town at 6 in the morning we were getting woken up at 8 by the building site that we looked out on!

On day two our electricity had stopped working, so we told reception about it and they said they will fix it. Day 4 and the electricity was still not working, but finally on day 5 they decided to go & fix it for us. One of our mobile phones went missing from the room, which we believe to be stolen by the maid as it was used to ring other Spanish numbers. 

There isn’t a pool bar which is open all day, only till 3. The hotel is defo an 18-30 place, the location of it is OK, but I wouldn’t walk home alone from Playa just because of the lanes you have to walk through. There is no entertainment at the hotel either. It was a group of 12 of us, two to one room, 5 to another room, then another 5 to the last room, but one key between 5 people for a week is a joke.
