Iberostar Torviscas Playa Hotel – Playa de las Americas – Tenerife

Our 3rd stay at this hotel, our first being 2007 as a couple then 2010 as a 1st family holiday & again this year as a family. After a fabulous holiday in 2007 at this hotel we knew we would become regular visitors!

We found the hotel yet again spotless. The pool area is well looked after too, plenty of loungers & parasols. Food was excellent, plenty of choice even for our fussy two year old. Always hot, fresh & enjoyable. The location is brilliant just out of the back gate is the beach, McDonald’s, bars restaurants, shops giving you plenty to do & not far away from the hotel itself.

The staff are excellent, warm & welcoming from reception & animacion team, to waiting & bar staff to the maids, all very polite & always greet you with a “hola”. We recognized staff from 2007 during our visit in 2010 & they were there again this year, which is lovely to see.

We booked all inclusive package for seven nights, the hotel was spotless, the maid came every day to change the bedding & towels, the food was delicious with a wide variety of food & a different theme each night.

The location was not far from the airport it was near the local cinema very close to Siam park which is well worth visiting I advise you to get a taxi it is only about 4 euros & you don’t have to wait for the courtesy bus after doing the 10 minute walk to the bus stop.

The free bus from the hotel is great for shopping or the beach as it drops you off next to the beach & plenty of shops.

The staff were extremely friendly we arrived late in the evening to be welcomed with a packed lunch & a friendly smile from the ever so brilliant Rafael at the reception desk who made our stay most enjoyable & he was very helpful. The entertainment was great especially the two guys who play the Beatles.

Would definitely return again.

Unless you are a goat do not stay at this hotel / apartments. We stayed in N0. 24 which was as far away from reception as could get.

Reception said they could give us a key to the back gate to allow us to bypass the steps (all 9 million of them). After searching for 30 minutes she could not find a key. The trek started.

Out of reception round the pool up first flight of steps across down flight of steps up flight of steps down flight of steps turn corner up steps (is this getting repetitive, it was for us as well) finally find apartment, yes you guessed it 2nd floor so up steps (Collapse with two suitcases).

TV was extra 15 euros for 3 days 20 something for 7. On the good side apartments were spotless. This holiday package wasn’t even close to acceptable for the price.

The hotel was nice, the apartment clean & a good size. We had booked self catering but were given all inclusive bands on arrival so had free drinks all day at pool, which was quiet & had plenty of sun loungers available.

We didn’t try the food at the hotel but would recommend Torviscas Indian Tandoori or Intercontinental Restaurant for a meal. A pint of beer was one euro in most places.

Hi. Just returned from two weeks all inclusive holiday in Tenerife & stayed in a duplex suite with 3 year old twins & one year old baby with my wife.

My wife & I always said we would never re-visit any hotel, but have already booked up for next year as this hotel is great!

The location is just superb with child friendly (slope in) massive swimming pool over-looking the ocean with 180 degrees views.

Booked two week holiday package in Tenerife at La Nina, we were fully aware there was a lot of Spanish holidaymakers there which was absolutely fine.

The hotel is very impressive from the outside with a lovely lobby area when you first walk in. Our room was very basic with a view of a cash & carry, which I wasn’t expecting. It had a fridge & good air conditioning which was the main thing.

The TV is extremely basic with two English channels. The rooms are cleaned every day but our bedding never got changed during our stay which was very appalling.
