We rented two apartments at Club Olympus and although this was the first time we had booked privately rather than via the usual holiday package route and I would certainly do it this way again. One apartment was overlooking the pool & the other was on the rear block which got the sun the whole day. The Oasis Golf apartments complex in Playa de Las Americas is not for those who have difficulty walking, or for those with small children. There are too many steps to the apartments.

Reading other reviews on the Playa La Arena hotel in Puerto Santiago before travelling to Tenerife still left us completely unprepared for the staggering quality of this hotel. Nothing can prepare you for the minute when you walk through the doors, past the courteous security officer (complete with luggage trolley as you step out of the taxi) or for the breathtaking reception area with tropical plants trailing down from 6 floors above. …
