Ocean Ponderosa Hotel – Playa de las Americas – Tenerife

The Ocean Ponderosa hotel in Tenerife was cleanish & the food was OK. The hotel’s location was at the top of hill, so not good for poor mobility.

Al the entertainment was in German (mainly German guests) and it was very loud by the pool during the day. Also, we couldn’t understand what the entertainment team were talking about as there was no English translation. The same in the evening, entertainment all in German.

It’s a very noisy hotel at night – I could hear revellers coming home very late, then at 5a.m. the staff started arriving, talking very loud. There was no air conditioning in the rooms, so you either have it noisy with window open or too hot. Would return to Playa de las Americas (excellent) but not this hotel.

Would add that the girls on hotel reception had very good English & were very helpful.
