Jardin Del Mar Apartments – Santa Ponsa – Majorca

Just back from a 4 night stay at the Jardin de Mar. It was a nice airy hotel & the room although small was pleasant & with a sea view.

The kitchen was not well stocked & anything other than tea & coffee would be difficult to produce but I don’t go on holiday to cook!

It was very quiet but being out of season to be expected. All in all a very nice hotel and a good location.

Plazamar Apartments – Santa Ponsa – Majorca

We stayed in a studio in the Plazamar in June 2011. The good bits: the hotel is very clean & the room was spacious with a medium, but adequate, sized balcony. The balcony faced the mountains & there was a lovely view.

It is situated away from the town, but only a five minute walk away so not next to rowdy pubs, etc. There is a small supermarket just around the corner. Staff are very pleasant & always smiling & willing to help. You can get basic, good food on site in the bar/restaurant.

If you have children, the entertainment is excellent for them. Adele works tirelessly keeping the kids amused & all the children loved her. She made each one feel special. There is a good sized pool with a lifeguard in attendance.

The bad bits: The hotel can be noisy as it is popular with groups of young people. This was an issue on a couple of nights when some had obviously been drinking heavily & just couldn’t take it. Loud arguments & bad language is not what you want to hear on holiday.

The hotel is not suitable for disabled. There are plenty of stairs to tackle just to get around. For example, stairs outside just to get to reception, then a couple of short flights to get to the pool & bar. There are lifts, but the one to our floor broke down twice in one week. Although there was a lift to the floor we were on, we were still faced with six stairs to get up to our apartment.

That said, we did enjoy our stay & would only reject this as a holiday stay due to mobility reasons. The staff cannot be faulted.

Club Del Sol Apartments – Puerto Pollensa – Majorca

The hotel is kept very clean. The hotel is alright if you don’t want to go anywhere else. There is nowhere nearby to go to for a change, unless you want to get a taxi or bus.

This place is very well catered for if you have young children, however there is no entertainment for adults. I found the hotel management very unhelpful, I had asked for a ground floor near the complex or main pool, and I was given an apartment furthest away.

I had explained I had a disability. The reps tried their best to accommodate me. Met other adults who also complained about young toddlers running around till midnight & no entertainment for them.

Protur Bonaire Aparthotel – Cala Bona – Majorca

Had a week holiday package in the hotel half board in early March, thought it was great! The food was excellent and the hotel itself was tremendous. Staff were really nice.

Cala Bona was quite dead but found a great bar called the Cats Whiskers which was overlooking the sea & 1. 5 euro a pint. The harbor was very pleasant & everywhere was flat & it was a lovely stroll into Cala Millor.

The entertainment in the hotel was varied & perhaps could have been a bit more lively. Two games of bingo every night with a top prize of €200. All in all a brilliant hotel at a good price & well worth going to.
