I have just returned from a week all inclusive holiday at Paphos gardens, we stayed there from 31st august until 7th September 2012.

This is the first time I have ever wrote a review because I am disappointed, usually it’s to rave about how wonderful it has been, but I have to say this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, & my friend agrees.I wouldn’Â’t mind but sheÂ’s traveled around the world for a year & stayed in hostels, & the customer service & rooms were a lot better.

DonÂ’t be tricked by what you see on the photos, it does have potential to be a good hotel, it’s just a shame that the people who own & run it are just there to make money, & the staff (80% of them) are rude & nasty.

Where to start? Well basically donÂ’t waste your money here at Paphos Gardens! There are far better hotels than this in the area, my friends stayed at; Riu Cypria, Pafian Park & Pafian Sun village.

If you are willing to spend a bit more then definitely go for the Riu Cypria, itÂ’s fantastic, surreal how beautiful it is! Whereas the two Pafian resorts are lovely, friendly helpful staff & lovely food! You can read your own reviews about them.

Paphos gardens has potential but itÂ’s all wasted. Firstly if you are a fussy eater, have allergies (like me), are vegetarian then there will be nothing much on offer here for you. When IÂ’’ve been on all inclusive before IÂ’m used to walking into the dining room & have a varied selection of foods, that cater for most appetites.

Aquasol Apartments – Puerto Rico – Gran Canaria

We booked a package holiday at the Aquasol Aparthotel from Feb 9th to 16th 2012.

The room was basic & clean. DonÂ’t go expecting anything posh, this is about as basic as it gets, but itÂ’s only a two key hotel & we didn’Â’t pay much to stay so our expectations we not that high, especially after reading some of the other customer reviews.

However we were very happy with the apartment, flatscreen TV, kitchenette, bathroom/shower & twin bed room. It was cleaned three times in the week we were there. We did not see any ants or cockroaches.

Speaking to the helpful lady at reception (Adriana) she told me that they had recently spent a lot of money on updating security. There was a key fob only entry on to the hotel grounds, CCTV cameras everywhere & a safe in the wardrobe in you room.

The location of the hotel is at the top of a hill, it’s about a 15-20 min walk up the hill from the shops or a 3euro taxi trip. There are some steps going straight down to the bottom near the hotel, but its not for the faint hearted coming back up that way!

Some people may not like the idea of going up a hill, but we liked it as it meant the hotel was away from all the hustle & bustle & noise from the main town. Plus the views were great! We got the sun all day too.

Club Jandia Princess – Jandia – Fuerteventura

Jandia Princess is a lovely relaxing hotel complex, it is in a quiet area with no shops but that suited us.

Jandia town is quite close by about 5 kilometres away, & only one euro on the bus to get there. Rooms were cleaned every day, staff brilliant & very friendly. No problems with the food at all, just avoided the more busy times.

Lots of pools, loungers & plenty of drinks available. All in all a lovely hotel & will be going back.

Club Hotel Riu Oliva Beach Resort – Corralejo – Fuerteventura

The hotel was very clean the maids were cleaning rooms from about 8:00 am till 3:00pm so they spent a lot of time cleaning the rooms. The food was great choice in the morning you could have hot or cold food & at lunch & dinner the choice was different every day.

The location was a bit out of the way but was still good because it was quiet & you had the beach next to the hotel n the entertainment was good which kept you busy all day till 4:30pm. The staff at the hotel were really helpful & always asking is there anything else you need.

We will be returning next year without a doubt.

Terraza Mar Suites – Puerto Rico – Gran Canaria

We stayed here with our 18 year old son & we thought these apartments were great. They were spotless & very friendly. The balcony was massive & the living space was ample-looking around I think we made the right choice. We have visited Gran Canaria a few times but we normally go to Melonares which is very low key, Puerto Rico was an eye opener-very lively, we enjoyed our stay & was perfect for a week.

We ate out every night & would recommend MURPHYS KITCHEN, the food was really nice & homely & the staff where first class, we went to a few nice restaurants & paid about £70 euros for the three of us but had a nicer meal at MURPHYS & it was as cheap as anything. All in all we had a great time, I would recommend these apartments you wont be disappointed.

Jardin Del Mar Apartments – Santa Ponsa – Majorca

Just back from a 4 night stay at the Jardin de Mar. It was a nice airy hotel & the room although small was pleasant & with a sea view.

The kitchen was not well stocked & anything other than tea & coffee would be difficult to produce but I don’t go on holiday to cook!

It was very quiet but being out of season to be expected. All in all a very nice hotel and a good location.

Plazamar Apartments – Santa Ponsa – Majorca

We stayed in a studio in the Plazamar in June 2011. The good bits: the hotel is very clean & the room was spacious with a medium, but adequate, sized balcony. The balcony faced the mountains & there was a lovely view.

It is situated away from the town, but only a five minute walk away so not next to rowdy pubs, etc. There is a small supermarket just around the corner. Staff are very pleasant & always smiling & willing to help. You can get basic, good food on site in the bar/restaurant.

I did not intend to book up an all-inclusive holiday deal as I always eat out for dinner, but it was nice to get a snack & a beer on return from the beach, a G & T before dinner & a cocktail upon return.

The hotel was easily the best I have stayed at in Goa in the 3 star category. Excellent staff, plenty of management around the desk & the feeling that they cared how your stay went.

Their basic rooms have two beds, enough hot water, TV, A/c & fan & I found mine perfectly adequate. I did ask to see one of their rooms from the next grade up but it was exactly the same apart from a big double bed. Not really worth the extra money.
