Luca Costa Lago Hotel – Torremolinos – Costa Del Sol
Arrived on December 21 for 12 night stay. The hotel was clean & tidy but not inviting. The room although split in two was not very big & had minimum facilities.
A television with only two English channels both of which were news channels, no tea or coffee facilities & very limited bathroom extras such as soap & shampoo. The beds were not very comfortable.
The bar was OK to start with but as the hotel became fuller it was clear it was not big enough. On Christmas day & New Years Eve to sit in the bar we were required to buy a bottle of Cava, around £25, to reserve a table. Otherwise you had to sit somewhere else outside.
The food was at best reasonable, mostly just warm & a limited choice, except as the hotel became fuller & locals arrived for Christmas & New Year when it was a little better. Rabbit might be a local delicacy but not in a holiday hotel!
I expect toilet facilities near to a bar area but at this hotel you have a choice, go to your room or downstairs in the lift near to the dining room.
This hotel is not 4 stars; it hasn’t got what I would expect of a 4 star, however as a 3 star it might just be acceptable. But would I stay here again? Of course not.
