We have just got back from having 14 wonderful days in the Sunset Beach Apartments. We went self catering & found the room adequate for our needs. There is a Supermarket on the ground floor with everything you need with a great bakery. Or you can pop over the road to a Supermarket.
We were on the 14th floor on a corner & had superb views out to sea. We found the majority of the staff very helpful, except the receptionist who was rude. There’s nightly entertainment but unfortunately the beer was a bit pricey so we never tried it.
I would recommend this hotel for a package holiday & would definitely stay again.

We just made our second visit to this hotel, a review of our first holiday there is below.
It was certainly pool weather on this visit & when we used it we found it to be very clean, it was about 4pm when we used it & it still had the sun on it. We saw it being cleaned (and the poolside being mopped) each day as we were having breakfast.
All the staff were really good, there was no banging of plates in the restaurant this time & tables were set ready to use, so definitely 5 star. …

Arrived on December 21 for 12 night stay. The hotel was clean & tidy but not inviting. The room although split in two was not very big & had minimum facilities.
A television with only two English channels both of which were news channels, no tea or coffee facilities & very limited bathroom extras such as soap & shampoo. The beds were not very comfortable. …

Definitely value for money, we stayed here for 9 nights, two adults & one child aged 10. Wasn’t expecting much as paid very little for an all inclusive break & was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the hotel & the quality of food.
Hotel was a little dated in areas (bedrooms & game rooms, etc) but this mattered very little as most of the time we were outdoors & not sitting inside. Bar areas & dining room were very clean & the all inclusive drinks option had a very good choice; there was a different kids cocktail on offer every day. …

Went to the Riviera Hotel in Benalmadena on recommendation, had read the reviews & was looking forward to arriving. However my immediate reaction on arrival was that the hotel was in need of a refurb, as did several other guests especially the carpets in our room which very badly stained & marked. …
