Julio Cesar Palace Hotel – Playa de las Americas – Tenerife
We were greeted in reception by the staff & were offered champagne and seated while we waited our turn to check in & our bags were put on a trolly ready to be taken to our room. We were given our room keys (cards), a card each to get a towel to use by the pool, and the receptionist gave us hotel details. She was very polite & informed us there would be someone to help 24 hours a day.
The porter took us to our room and showed us how to use the facilities & was very helpfull. We had a double room & it was very clean, it had a nice big bed, a mini bar that could also be used as a fridge if you asked the staff when checking in, a safe deposit box charged on a daily basis, a bathroom with double basin and our sheets were changed every other day plus we had clean towels every day.
One thing we would have liked would have been tea/coffee making facilites & an iron/board but then we did have a 24 hour room and laundry service. We used the room service for breakfast one day & were only charged a few euro as we had already paid for bed and breakfast. It was served on a table & the food was lovley.
We ate breakfast buffet style & the Julio Cesar Palace hotel caters for all tastes it seems. We had a variety of food during the week, fresh fruit & yogurt, toast & cereals, omelette or fried eggs & crepes freshly cooked plus & an array of pastites & cooked breakfast items. The staff were nice & brought us tea & coffee as soon as we sat down.
There were big seating areas throughout the hotel & poolside bars offering snacks & drinks through the day. We had sunloungers by the Roman pool which looked fantastic. The few shows we saw were the same dancers dancing different themed nights so I could not really comment on them.
I would recommend this hotel to couples or families & will return in a few years.
