Good Palace Hotel – New Delhi – India

We were on a bed & breakfast basis but you do need to tell the waiting staff this as we were charged for breakfast on the first day. You have a choice of Indian or American breakfast which consisted of juice, toast, butter, jam & eggs cooked to your liking. The service was a bit slow so allow plenty of time. The hotel was clean overall but the dining tables could have been cleaner.

We didn’t eat anything other than breakfast in there but they had a very good menu for dinner. They did escort us over to a restaurant over the road in the evening so not quite sure whether they owned this as well; the food was good in here but no alcohol was served. The restaurant was called ‘Tempting’. The hotel was in a brilliant location for shopping, the shops were open until 8:00 p. m. & it was a very busy area. There were also other restaurants round about. The rooms were air conditioned but no fridge, though we did have a flat screen TV. Do take some coat hangers as these were scarce. Would also recommend your own drinks as these can be expensive in the hotel.
