Barceló Daventry Hotel – Northamptonshire – UK and Eire

Stayed just the two nights at the excellent Barceló Daventry hotel. Reception staff were extremely friendly & knowledgeable. Although the bar staff were friendly & pleasant, neither of the two on duty really knew their stuff. When I tried to order a pernod, neither had even heard of it, let alone tell me if they stocked it.

The rooms were lovely- comfortable & clean with an extra big bed. Our view was great, overlooking the beautifully kept gardens & spacious paved area. There was an outdoor giant chess set & plenty of tables & chairs on the paved area. We spent quite a bit of time relaxing outside in the glorious sunshine.

Breakfast was very organised in the air conditioned dining room. There was plenty on offer from fruit, cereals, juices, yoghurts, toast to your full English fry up. There was a fully equipped gym & a decent sized indor pool & jacuzzi. Towels were provided.

We had a fantastic weekend with the hotel as our base & wouldn’t hesitate to return.
