False advertising colossus hotel, never in this world have I stayed in such an awful place.

Ants running around in our rooms, no hot water some days, & days where we had no water at all.

Food I would not feed to my dog! Recycled most days from lunch time reused at dinner. Poor personal hygiene, i.e. hairs in food, always cold, two flights of stairs to restaurant; not good if you have walking difficulties.

Health & safety issues, i.e. swimming pool steps came out the ground; reported 4 times but nothing done about it.

Most of staff very rude, asking for tips no sooner than we had we arrived; manager waste of time.

No entertainment apart from music which is loud; same songs every night. No thought for those trying to sleep; very loud guests.

I would not board my dogs here, would not return even if it was free; just shocking! Worst holiday ever.

This hotel is the best we have ever stayed in anywhere. We could not find any recent reviews on this site before we went, but found loads on others which were excellent.

The meals were varied & catered for everyone with many many choices at every sitting & the when the kids did not want to eat at the main restaurant they ate at the pool bar or the beach bar which I feel was the better of the two.

The place was spotless everywhere, they never stopped cleaning, even the gardens were being done at midnight one night. The hotel has excellent security so the kids can run around & play without having to worry too much.

The good thing about this hotel is the location, after that it is all downhill.

The rooms are very small, but kept reasonably clean. The Turkish breakfast was supposedly 7:30 to 10am, but any later than 9:30 there was nothing left, & if you asked for some the answer was sorry breakfast is finished.

The hotel reception was a very dismal place, & most of the time there were no staff there. The hotel bar opened only twice in our ten day stay, you could not even buy a cup of coffee.

This hotel was stunning. Upon arrival in the early hours the staff were very friendly. We were given a room on the 5th floor, but my friend is afraid of lifts so we asked if it was possible to be moved to a lower level; they were unable to that day, but could be moved the next day.

The young porter lifted our cases up 5 flights of stairs to our room, showed us how to use shower, TV, telephone, air conditioning etc, the room was very clean & spacious, & the dining room was big & clean. The chef made anything you wanted like omelets for breakfast; loads to choose from day or night.

Bar staff very friendly, didn’t speak great English but were willing to learn new words from us. The spa I thought was a bit expensive so we didn’t have any treatments. The hotel had it’s own beach two minutes walk away. Entertainment was not in season for this time.

All in all, we went for a quiet holiday & that’s what we got.

Not Suitable for Wheelchairs.

To be fair to this hotel I am posting this information & I am sure they will remember us & agree with us.
We stopped at the Serin Hotel for 4 hours. This hotel is NOT suitable for wheelchair users. We booked through holiday4u & gave 6 months notice; we had a wheelchair user in our party.

Our payment was taken we told our TA (co-op) all paperwork stated wheelchair. Steps into the restaurant. Steps into the reception & lift is not big enough for standard wheelchair. Refused the offer of Sammi to dismantle the wheelchair to “help it fit”. Please be aware if it says a hotel has two lifts don’t just think it is OK for wheelchairs.

What an fantastic hotel, the food, drink, staff were great. Some people said the food was as good if not better than any cruise line they had been on. The indoor pool was the largest we have ever been in.

Everywhere is spotless, this hotel is part of the Stone Group of hotels & having been to one of their others (Royal Wings), we are planning to try & visit the others at some point in time. We stayed here from the 3rd to the 10th of January at an utterly fantastic price.
