The Aqua hotel in Icmeler is in a suberb location. It’s difficult to say anything negative about the hotel. The staff are very polite & welcoming, rooms are always cleaned to an high standard every day.

We booked a holiday package to the Hotel Leda Beach in Turkey on a B&B basis. Arrived at 03:30 in the morning and although reception is open 24 hours, we were greeted by a very unhappy man whose sleep we had obviously interrupted. He took down our details & our passports then tried to sell us air conditioning units for our room at 70 euros. We said we would make our minds up later so he then asked us for 45 TL for a safe which we went for.

Before I write this hotel review, I would like to point out that my partner & I are are not “hotel snobs” & we realised that we were not going to get an outstanding hotel for the price we paid (£600 each for 2wks on an all inclusive holiday package) but I would like to share my experience of the Club Armar hotel in Marmaris so you do not waste any of your own money.

The Hotel Efendi in Icmeler is a 3 storey hotel without a lift & a small 24hour reception area. The safety deposit boxes are £10 per week & if you have a night flight return home & need to keep your room on it will cost £16 but is well worth it.

We have just returned from Dost hotel in Gumbet. We had two weeks there and we went out a lot due to having my 12 yr old daughter with me & there being no other children there for her to play with, otherwise we would have spent more time at the Dost enjoying the company of the lovely staff.

We were allocated an attic room at the Selen apartments, having specifically requested to *not* have an attic room. When we got there, the room was not ready - light bulbs out, no bedding for our son’s bed and the air conditioning was faulty.

Here is the epic tale of our package holiday to the Garden of Sun hotel in Altinkum. 12 of us stayed for 14 nights from 10th August 2009. We were 8 Adults (21 to 49), one teenager, & 3 & 4 year olds. We arrived at around 5am to find cookies & juice in reception for us - not great but better than nothing. We checked in without
any problems then headed for the lobby bar (24 hours) to await the rest of our party who had booked the transfer with Sunwings (called at a number of hotels first). Handy Tip - You can get a transfer from £15.00 per person rather than the £30 that the travel company charged. Chances are it will be a quicker transfer too, or you can pay a little more for private transfers. We used Mariya tours - couldn’t fault them both ways.

We just returned from one week at the Poppy Apartments in Calis and I have never been to a palace similar in Turkey - it was absolutely awful. We had a filthy apartment with no cleaning at all in the week we were there. The bins are only emptied every other day and bear in mind in Turkey you are supposed to put used toilet paper in a bin & not in the toilet as the sewerage system is not built for toiletpaper. Instead they have a water nozzle for cleaning.

We found the Palm Wings hotel in Didyma to be excellent value for money. Overall, the hotel is very clean, the food more than adequate, the location to the beach & shops perfect & the staff very friendly.

Well after seeing plenty of good reviews about the Majesty Club Tuana hotel in Fethiye, I thought we were going to be in for a very relaxing holiday. The approach road makes you wonder what sort of place you are going to and when we arrived in the early hours of the morning we were greeted by the sight of a Pontins style place!
