Staff from the general manager to the cleaning staff at the Baron Hotel in Sharm are uniformly pleasant & helpful. The general manager must never sleep as he is always to be seen around the hotel checking food at meal times, checking rooms, walking in the gardens & on the beach as well, ensuring that everything is running smoothly.

Returned yesterday after spending two weeks at the Iberotel Makadi Saraya Resort. We were a party of four 50-somethings, two couples, looking for a relaxing holiday & we found just that. Whilst the hotel may not be a true 5*, in some areas, customer service for example, you get 5* and treatment.

We stayed the first time at the Coral Sea Imperial Resort hotel last year when it was the Conrad. This time, we arrived at 10. 30 & were advised to go to the restaraunt for something to eat before it closed.

The Tropicana Jasmine Club hotel was exellent, the food was exellent and the only negative was the climb to the room, up several flights of steps plus the music around the pool was controlled at reception who had to be reminded to turn it down on several occations!
