Great value for money! Stayed at the Best San Diego hotel for my hen weekend in June 2009. The hotel is great value, clean & close to beach & bars. The food was great, plenty of choice & full English every morning (which was needed!). The rooms are very basic, but good. I write this review in response to others I read before travelling. I was apprehensive before we went, having read negative reviews about the Albatros apartments but I had nothing to worry about! The Albatros represents very good value for money in my opinion. It is as clean as can be expected, basic but comfortable & while the tiles in the bathroom & kitchen are not the ones I would choose, they certainly did not spoil my holiday! Esmeraldas apartments. Bedclothes very old and damp. Situated right beside the railway so very noisy every 10 mins. The location is good, across from beach, but a very quiet area and the entertainment was very dissapointing.

HOTEL AND FOOD OK COULD ALLWAYS FIND SOMETHING TO EAT WOULD NOT GO BACK TO THIS HOTEL AGAIN AS MOST HOLIDAY MAKERS WERE FROM UK THE ENTERTAIMENT WAS GEARED UP FOR THE SPANISH THE NIGHT BEFORE WE CAME HOME WE WERE TOLD COULD NOT USE ENTERTAIMENT ROOM FOR THE NEXT WEEK AS A BIG GROUP OFF GERMANS HAD TAKEN IT OVER THE BRITS HAD TO SIT EITHER IN BAR EREA WITH NOT MUCH ROOM OR OUTSIDE AS EVENINGS WERE QUITE COLD A LOT OF PEOPLE WERE LEFT TO SIT OUTSIDE IN THE COLD HAVE NEVER FELT LIKE A SECOND RATE PERSON IN ALL MY LIVE HAD FEELING HOTEL DID NOT LIKE BRITS FEEL SORRY FOR PEOPLE STILL THERE
