This was our first experience at camping in Spain and in Palamos. We stayed in a mobile home, which was a bit cramped for four adults, but we only slept there. It was clean, well equipped & had a good shower. The Camping Kings campsite is clean with a lovely pool, a big friendly bar & the setting was lovely. We had a key to the home & one for the back gate which takes you down a 5 minute walk to the beach.

Pgl are set on this site, & they work hard with the groups of children. They have strict rules & the kids have to vacate to bed at 11. 00pm. Its great to see the kids enjoy themself, they love it!

We stayed at the hotel Sorra D’Or as our original hotel closed before we arrived! I am very glad that we were given this hotel. It is literally a 3 min walk to the beach (under the railway underpass). There was a lot of choice for meat and fish eaters. Lovely salad choices & great desserts! The bar staff / restaurant staff were very friendly. We were there just before the season started & I’m glad about that as it was packed the last two days & not as chilled out!

The pool area is a bit strange as the hotel is built around it, so only certain parts got the sun at certain times of the day.

I stayed at the Merce Hotel for a few days in May. What a lovely hotel! I couldnt believe what i got for such a cheap price. Had an initial hiccup when i arrived with the room i was given {one on second floor} – i had requested a quiet room with a balcony, which is what i gott and while the room itself was very nice, when i stepped out into the balcony, saw it was facing a wall, with the maintenance men & area immediately below me! Not very private. When i requested a change, reception happily agreed with room 406-lovely. I had a small double room to myself, with double bed,

I was quietly concerned that i may have booked badly having read the other reviews, but was really pleased with the apartment. It was clean , spacious, plenty of room to put clothing away. The fittings in the kitchen were basic but adequate. We were there a week, only got clean towels once, twice would have been nice but we managed fine. The hotel complex was available but we only used the pool & that was superb has to be the best pool in santa susanna. location was great practically on the beach with sea views from the apartment. Strongly advise a visit to the Ship pub right next door, personable & welcoming, they do good food all day & in the evenings entertain you with quizzes & games, Karan & Ross were there every evening serving drinks with a big welcome & a smile.
I would recommend these apartments to anyone going self catering to this part of Spain

Ive stayed in this hotel 3 times now over the years, once when i was a kid (about 25years ago) then again about 19 years ago with my husband and then last year with my 7 years old and husband. We never had any major complaints 25 years ago and we never last year either. The hotel has been re vamped and extended in the last 19 years but the feel for it has not changed. It is very geared up for kids and, to be honest, if it was just the two of us, we would nt of gone back, even 19years ago it was still geared up for kids and we as a couple was like fish out of water. It always has and proberly always will be a family orientated hotel and its great. Food was nice, repeatative after 2 weeks but it always is where ever you go. Entertainment was good both kids stuff and adults later on. Pool areas are lovely so is the bar areas. Always clean reception areas and the rooms were clean too. Can not fault.

we have stayed in llorett 3 times before but normall stay at the royal beach htop hotel. When we arrived it took reception about half a hour to book us in but was friendly enough.when we got to our room it went down hill from there.3 beds squashed into in dinjy hole.Middle bed could not get in or out unless she scooted down to the bottom of her bed.Very large nail sticking out of bathroom floor which we reported twice but it still remains there so watch your feet. All the tiles in the bathroom was broken and just filled with filler. When the tap was turned on it just poured down the wall and flooded bathroom again this was reported twice and fixed on our last day.We asked to be moved but the other hotels were full.Reception staff were very unhelpful.Bar staff were ok.food was good. All in all i would never stay in this hotel again as it was more like a prison/hostel it was very loud and i would of been horrified if i had gone as a family.
