Sun Palace Hotel – Sunny Beach – Bulgaria

Stayed at hotel Sun Palace in Sunny Beach for the last two weeks of June 2009 on an AI basis. The hotel staff were very friendly, especialy the girls who cleaned our room every day – they work very hard for little pay & always have a smile & a “good morning” for you.

The first two days, the food was good, then it went right downhill. They must have a veal factory outside because for the other 12 days they had fried veal, veal goulash, veal in tomato sauce & chicken livers. There’s a kiddies section with chicken nuggets, chips & mash (which was like water), I hope I never see another chicken nugget again lol.

For breakfast you can have pancakes, fried eggs & bacon from the outside bar area (which was fine) and there is also a selection of ham & cheeses, only at breakfast and fine on toast.

I wouldn’t come back to this hotel only for the simple reason that the food was rubbish. The evening entertainment is geared up for kids even although the brochure says there is adult entertainment, there’s none.
