Seaview Patong Hotel – Phuket – Thailand

This was our second package holiday at the Seaview, having stayed for a couple of weeks back in 2010. We never return to the same hotel usually but we liked the Seaview & Patong as a resort & were happy to stay here again.

Rooms are basic but clean & comfortable. Air con is excellent, the room has a separate bathroom with a shower over the bath. The water is scorching hot so be careful! Staff overall are extremely friendly & helpful on the whole, although a couple of the women serving around breakfast time were not only miserable but very slack at their jobs, most unusual for Thailand.

There are two pools, both are nice. The hotel provides towels for the pool area. Sunbeds are very comfy with a big mattress on them, however, you need to be up very early to get a position you want as half of the beds have been ‘claimed’ by 07:15am every day.

The hotel is 10 yards from the beach. Just across the road, the road is not too busy at all. The beach is long & sandy & is great for walking, & the sea is clear & very warm. The hotel is in a great position because it’s away from the bustle of Bangla Road but is only 10 minutes walk away at night if you want to get to the manic nightlife (which we did)!

All in all this is a very good hotel & hard to beat if staying in Patong. Travel Republic were almost 50% cheaper for this hotel than anyone else, so it pays to shop around.
