Queens Hotel - Benidorm - Costa Blanca

As a past guest at the Queens hotel, I returned for a holiday with a friend. Unfortunately it has deteriorated to such a poor standard. This may be caused in some part by the break-up of the couple who owned the hotel.

Our room was dirty & shabby, & this was supposed to be a “premier” room. We had broken drawers, chipped furniture, dirty curtains & floors, sheets with holes & a terrible smell from the drains. The food was average & my friend ate very little. The staff seem indifferent apart from Ben, the excellent restaurant waiter. The only thing good about this hotel is it’s location in the old town.

Also, this hotel promotes itself as a “gay friendly” hotel. While gay guys are welcome here, I would say that they are simply playing to the pink pound & not providing anything particularly gay friendly. The entertainment is old hat. Dated drag & poor Northern “comics”.

There is definitely better in Benidorm and at a cheaper price.
