Playa Moreya Hotel & Apartments – S’Illot – Majorca

Having just got back from the Playa Moreya / Moreia in S’illot Majorca, here is our opinion.

The hotel is OK if you just want a room. We had a sea view with no air conditioning just a ceiling fan. The balconies are seperated by perspex glass so there is not much privacy and we also had two single beds pushed together which was classed as a double. The little man had a kind of camp bed that was placed next to the two single beds. The sheets were not changed for the first two days but it was every day after that. The safety deposit box was just under 40 euros for 10 days.

Bathroom was very, very basic with a shower, bath & plastic curtain. We were invaded by ants in the bathroom & the sleeping area and it was so bad that on the third night we had to complain as they were crawling over us in the night. The hotel said that it was our fault as we had left sweets on the side but they sprayed the room. We saw only a few more ants for the remainder of the stay but not that many.

The cooker had two rings & there is a microwave but if you want to cook in your room it was quite limiting.

The pool was cleaned daily & although quite small, it never got too busy & there is no real need to slap towels on the sunbeds but, hey, we all love doing it don’t we! There are 3 outdoor pool tables & one indoor one with a few arcade games for the kids & table tennis with a wooden net!

As for food we never ate at the hotel so can’t comment.

Entertainment was pretty poor & drinks were expensive - 3 euros for a bottle of beer & 4 euros for a Bacardi Breezer so we gave it a miss. Entertainment stops at midnight so guests can sleep. We also noted numerous complaints about ants & sewage smells in rooms.

The resort of S’Illot is great, but we wouldn’t recommend the Playa Moreya hotel.
