Florida Hotel – Magaluf – Majorca

This hotel is great if you don’t mind the hill (aka Cardiac Hill). It’s close to Magaluf strip (10 minute walk max) & is nice & clean.

The food is really good, plenty of choices served in a buffet style. BUT – if you are unlucky enough to get one of the rooms that aren’t on the sea front section they can be extremely warm & uncomfortable. I suppose it’s the price you pay for a cheap package holiday in Majorca.

Last time I stayed here (September 2009) we had rooms immediately overlooking the sea so you always had the sea breeze (plus it was an unbelievable view). The other rooms don’t get this – there is a fan in the rooms but no air con.

Ours was literally a sweat box this time which did spoil our enjoyment to some extent. I struggled to sleep because of the sheer heat & humidity a couple of nights.

I have to admit, I have really enjoyed my stay in this hotel both times, but next time I may just spend a little more money & find somewhere with the comfort of air con!
