Days Inn 5858 International Drive – Orlando – Florida – America

As we pulled up in front of 5858 International Drive, the front of the hotel & the grounds looked pretty inviting. As we proceeded to check in, I started looking around. Not bad I thought of the lobby. But when we got to our room, reality slapped us in the face!

This Days Inn is a dump. There is just one working ice machine on the property, & if you pick the right time of the day, you might just get ice. The laundry room has 4 washers and 4 dryers. Only two washers worked & only one dryer worked.

The corridors look like something out of a mystery movie seconds before one gets mugged! Way too dark! There was no coffee maker in rooms. Not even a two cup! I made our beds six out of the ten days we were there and as for toilet paper I had to borrow a roll from another room! I requested some from the front desk and had time to wait around, go get dinner & come back to our room. But still no toilet paper! Called at 9:04 pm that same night. was informed that the front desk only had one roll & he would send it up shortly. It arrived at 11.20pm!

Oh and there’s a waiting list for the refrigerators! A waiting list for crying out loud! Everyday we had to call the front desk to see if one was available. We ended up buying a stryo cooler, & every night going to the gas station or the next door Seven Eleven for a bag of ice. Unreal!

I am a true believer of “you live & you learn”. I have lived through this nightmare & learned never to book there again. For a few more dollars, I wouldn’t have had to beg for toilet paper!
