Artemis Aparthotel – Protaras – Cyprus

Booked a last minute deal through Libra to the Artemis hotel in Protaras. The hotel is situated on the main road between the resorts of Pernera & Protaras, about 20 mins walk to the nearest beach. The hotel consists of mainly apartments & a few studios.

The one-bedroom apartments are tidy & spacious with lounge/bedroom, w/c & small balcony facing either the pool (far better) or the noisy main road. Our room had 3 single beds, a small kitchen unit with two hot plates, good size fridge, sink & basic cooking utensils. Both rooms have air conditioning, a dresser and two single beds. The w/c was clean and had a good shower/bath. The living room has separate air/con, a 3rd bed with settee & two chairs, and the kitchen area has a small breakfast table.

We booked the self-catering option but did try a few meals in the hotel. We thought the food in general was not too bad, but lacked a bit of creativity & selection. The hotel does offer both a half/board & an all-inclusive option. Alcohol in the hotel was not cheap though, with a pint costing over ÂŁ3.

On the plus-side, the pool is nice, the entertainment team try hard & the reception staff were all friendly & helpful. There are plenty of sunbeds & shade, the public toilets are clean & there is a basement pool & gym. Security boxes are are situated at reception & the air-con is free, but with a 20 euro deposit (refunded). All holiday makers have an upgrade option with half board set at 15 euros per day, & the a/i option set at 32 euros per day.

We would return, but only on a last minute deal.
