Alameda Hotel – Benidorm – Costa Blanca
Stayed for a week holiday with two mates, I had double bedded room on my own while my two friends shared a twin.
My room was excellent, if a bit basic but very clean & had a wonderful balcony overlooking a busy pedestrian street (the people watching was great).
But my friends had a somewhat run down room looking into the central core of the building & was not very nice. They asked for a change but told it was not possible as the hotel was full.
We did see people leaving so I think it could well have been possible but the receptionist didn’t see it that way. However, it was a very pleasant week & it was a refreshing change to eat what the Spaniards eat as the dining room caters for a predominantly Spanish clientele.
The staff were all very friendly & obliging & the other guests (mostly Spanish) were very friendly & tried out their English on us giving rise to great laughter all round.
This is a nice hotel, great value for money, in a brilliant location & indeed I have already booked another holiday for September 2011.
