We stayed at the Horizon Studios the week commencing 16th May 2009. For anyone that knows Lindos, they are situated approximately a 5 minute walk up towards the hills at the top of the ‘big ‘ hill going into Lindos village. I would say a leisurely 15 mins in all to get into the main square. The apartments are very new & spotless & the best i have seen in Greece at this price range, even with a corner bath!. Stavros serves all the usual snacks etc at the pool bar/ restaurant & food is of a good quality. To be honest, i cant fault these apartments in any way & look forward to returning soon.

we stayed in the Anseli apartments, please note a two star rated hotel but we had our rooms cleaned every day beds made, the owners lulu, daughters liza, & co lovely,the food was great, the barman great, all very nice. We stayed at Pefki Island last July and are returning to the new sister hotel this year. We had a wonderful time - Pefkos is a lovely place. Perhaps not as picturesque as say Lindos but much better for families. The pool area is very clean and the pool bar does very good snacks. The management did take a stand on the towel problem (which you get everywhere)when we were there and removed all unattended towels for a day or so which seemed to help. I must take issue with some of the previous comments about the hotel. It is made perfectly clear on the Thomson website that the air con is charged locally. I had concerns over this and emailed Pefki Island directly. I received very prompt, polite reply with all the info we needed and budgeted accordingly. Also, the comments re the entertainment. Ok it wasnt great but for people who didnt want to venture far from the apartments it was fine. I cant understand why people are sitting in their rooms at this time of night anyway! suerly you wold be out having a meal etc? Most evenings we returned home at about 10 ish and the noise didnt bother us one bit and we were staying at the top pool where the entertainment took place. The people who run Pefki Island and the sister accommodations do an excellent job. If you are planning to go to Pefkos you could not do better than to stay here.

We have just come back today from Rhodes. I think that this hotel must have taken on the comments from last year as there was nothing that we would find fault with in the hotel or with the staff.
The food was great on Sunday they even did roast beef!
The animation team were superb we had great fun doing the poolside activities while my 6 year old was at the kids club.
Every night there was something different going on at the ampitheatre including the mini disco that was on for six of the seven nights. Which we joined in with every night.
It is definately a 3*+ hotel but if you pay peanuts you can’t expect a 5* resort.
I think a lot of people writing the reviews should join in with the animation team and have fun, they would enjoy their holidays a lot more.

Anthi Maria is very basic and are quite old apartments, but in a great location right on the beach. Bit of a pain though as you have to get the AC remote from Pallas travel which is the other side of Pefkos. There are better places to stay in pefkos, but Anthi is usually listed as one of the cheap choices. If you want a no-frills holiday then go for it.
PS: take a torch as the road is unlit and not really suitable for young ladies alone.

the hotel was spotless food was snack/evening meals very goodwhere hotel is you can walk quite a few places also you can get a bus any where staff are great great with the kids theres a few things going on at night me my wife two girls and my girls best freind loved it we have gone to the emerald now five times now and love it we will always go to the emerald its great

fantasic views ,rooms vey modern and high standard.spotlessly clean, the freindly staff are amazing and very attentive. huge swimming pool and smaller second pool near private beach . food was great and very varied .very quiet location with nearest hotel across the bay. would recommend car but Lindos centre short taxi ride away . one of the best hotels we have stayed in . only thing was the drinks in the hotel were very expensive but to be expected in a hotel of this high spec. great hotel and great staff ,would change nothing and will return again soon .

me and 2 other friends are just back from dias studios in july and was the best holiday ever just becouse of the hotel 24hour bar could u ask for anyelse the food is also great there the chips snd curry was good loved the rice would get that for my breakfast while every1 had fry ups uncle bill was the best we miss him the family run hotel made u feel like part of the family uncle bill even invited us to his restraunt in the other town 20 euros all u can eat and drink must ave went thro 2 bottles of vodka 2 bottles of peach snapps and some ouzo he then took us a town round his we village took us to his house to meet his daughter then took us back to our hotel in his truck any 1 thinking of going here it would b the best choice for u its a young place where every1 was very friendly wouldonly go to faliraki again would b to stay in this hotel again will hav lots a great memorys froms this hotel would like to thank then for that if u are thinkin of goin there on arival ask for a uncle bill special vodika and strawberry icecream
