We were a bit disappointed with the Caravel hotel on arrival. We had a long day so were tired & a bit tetchy by the time we hit Zante. Our room was in the Zeus building & on the ground floor overlooking the car park. The lock was broken on the door leading out to the balcony. The room was big & spacious with plenty of cupboard space. there was a fridge which came in handy to keep your drinks cool. There was a safety deposit box in the wardrobe which you pay for at reception. …

According to the sales pitch, the Paradise apartments in Laganas should have been an idyllic hotel - the rooms were presented as having laminated flooring, an LCD TV, the bathroom apparently had a separate shower & enough space to move in. It was portrayed as quiet, far enough from Laganas centre to not hear the noise but close enough to walk. But this is not what you get. It’s noisy and attracts the groups of youngsters. …
