We stayed at Penlan Holiday Village in Number 71 which was a semi detatched lodge.
It was designed like an army cadet hut from the outside & inside it was furnished like a 1940’s granny flat. When you open the door, a smell which was a cross between damp, fish & tramps socks hit us, it was horrible. Everything smelt of that smell.
The boiler, which looked dangerous, was located in the toilet, with the main eletrical fusebox underneath & a bowl by the side of it to catch the leaking water - which I’m sure is against health & safety regulations.
The facillities as you book in looked scruffy & dated. We drank in the bar which was about the only part that has seen paint in the last forty years. The wine & lager was watered down.
just stayed there monday till friday , myself and the kids realy enjoyed the night entertainment shows,
good weather ment a good stay ,staff were very good with the children always had the time to say hello or just make them laugh.
