Sharm El Sheikh

Holiday Tags: Sharm El Sheikh

Having read other reviews I was not sure if to book this hotel? I did and I’m very pleased as we had a great time. We had a lovely room in cluster 33 which looked out to the sea.

Me and my boyfriend have just returned from a two week holiday staying at this hotel. We loved the hotel, it was very well maintained and the staff were always doing something to improve the physical appearance. The outsided areas were beautiful with water features, palm trees and wooden seating areas at the rear.
The rooms were very clean and spacious and met all our requirements. They were cleaned to a high standard and upon are return we would be greeted with fresh towels in the shape of a heart, swan, etc… depending on how creative the hotel staff were feeling that day. They were decorated with fresh flowers from the garden.

The pool area was fab and me who is usually a bit more get up and go could and did sit there all day sometimes.

I was overwhealmed with the breakfast choice
and could have sat there for ages eating the fresh pastries, pancakes with chocolate sauce and fresh coffee. Good time range too… 7 till 10.
If you booked an early morning excursion the hotel would arrange a breakfast box to be taken so you didn’t miss out.

we arrived on wed the 15th pm we had read loads of really bad reviews on the hausa online after we had alredy booked it we was quite worried about what to expect, but the hotel was amazing it was huge the pool areas were nice the beach was gorgeous, and the staff were generally friendly there is lots to do for kids with the slides and mini zoo camel riding ect.

The animation team provided good entertainment and the coco loco song and dance stuck in out heads all week! we had a really funny holiday and did most of the excursions to.

The food at the hotel was average but not bad slightly repetitve but thats what you will get with any all inclusive holiday.

The animation team gave us information on group nights out with transfers so it was safe for us to go into naama bay. If not tho taxis from outside the hotel complex we wer paying 50 egyptain pounds for each way which was cheap but a bit scary! hence the taxis in egypy are very diffrent to back home no health and safety at all it was a funny experience now tho when we look back.

all in all we were 3 girls going for a one week hol in sharm and we all had an amazing time i had been to sharm once before and stayed at the sharm cliffe which was good but not as good as hausa we would definatley go again and were all very sad to come home.

This was my second trip to sharm and i was really looking forward to especially staying in a 5* hotel. I previously Stayed at the Tropicana LTI Grand Azure which was a 4* plus hotel ans had a wonderful time. Couldn’t fault the food or cleaniness of the hotel and the swimming pools etc were amazing. Would certainly recommend to anyone.
At the inter plaza i found the food very bland and nearly the same every day, both buffet restuants are exactly the same and their was only one other resturant not 3 like it describes they just have 3 different menus.
Most dinner times we ate at the snack bar as the resturants were packed and couldn’t get a table, they served pizza which only had cheese on and nothing else and chips. But it was better than nothing.
During the day your drinks were served in the smallest plastic glasses ever, two mouthfuls and they were gone and in that heat it was horrible.
The wine glasses in the resturant and lobby bar were really small again and after queing for up to 10 mins at a time for a drink it gets really annoying. Also i hated the fact that you had to fill your water bottles up at a dispenser and all i could think about were all the germs that must be on their.
The grounds of the hotel were very pretty but on quite a slope so wouldn’t recommend for thr elderly and anyone with walking difficulties. The night time entertainment was a man playing a gitair every night but it was plesent enough and nice relaxing music.
The towels that were given to you around the pool were really grubby and properly haven’t been replaced since the hotel opened in 2006, some days they had run out and were couldn’t get one.
The hotel in general was nice but i would rate it as a 3* and certainly not a 5* and the previous hotel a stayed in was so much nicer and i would ceetainly recommend that instead.

I will try to keep it short! Hotel was fantastic, about 12 pools, at least one near any room as it is a large complex. Jacuzzi which my kids loved, beautiful setting.

Food could have offered more variety at dinner, but still fantastic. A children corner so they can help them selves. My 8 year old loves her choice of desserts and wants to return just for them!

Beach was acessed via Hilton Fayrous, most people would reserve their spot early about 7:30ish and then have breakfast. Part of our deal was unlimited acess to Cleo Park which is a water park great for the kids and adults. Free bus service to the park- just ask at reception (only 2 minutes away you could even walk).

Children had kids club in the day and an entertainment team in the evening - who I think were Italian, put on a show at 9pm, kids loved it as they get them to dance on the stage with them.

Hotel staff were fantastic, if you wanted something and it wasnt available, they will go and find it for you!

Cant wait to go back!!!

We went All Inclusive for 11 nights during the Easter holidays. Our party were aged 6,36,38,71.
Fantastic variety of food….Rice, Pasta, various Potatoes (chips, boiled, mashed, roast), various veg (carrots, suede, peas, courgettes, greenbeans, cabbage, sweetcorn)Various meats (steak, chicken, meatballs, beef, sausages, burgers) Fish even fish chips. Various breads. Gorgeous sweets, that actually not only looked good, tasted fantastic…something for everyone…….even the picky!!!
Very clean, spacious, rooms with fantastic walk in showers. Massive, well maintained complex with friendly staff. Fantastic pools water slides. Entertainment was a bit samey but I find that everywhere!!

Brilliant snorkelling, sea is about knee high for about 1 mile out really clear so you can see loads.

I would highly reccommend this hotel we’re thinking about booking again for next Easter. Don’t let any negative reviews bother you. We didn’t have any problems at all. In short, if you’ve booked to go here…you’ll love it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Before I give my review I would like all that read this to know that due to sickness that put rather a big dampener on our holiday we probably didnt enjoy this holiday as much as we could of .

Arrived early evening to a lovely welcome and given keys to rooms 1105 as requested in email 14 days earlier and 1107 . Room 1105 being one of the double double family rooms that we hadnt paid for so very pleased. huge room and huge bed . Bed alone could have slept 4 , dressing room , rather shabby bathroom ,Seating area of 2 sofas and a TV and a further room with bunk beds . room 1107 for our older 2 boys was smaller but still roomy . Rooms and buildings all in an arabic styling which gave great character. Gardens and grounds all very pretty and well maintained with lots of colour .

We had the blue wave pool right outside our rooms . This is the pool to come to if you like a lively pool scene . It is an Italian animation team and I didnt feel that many english were joining in. For excercise junkies there was a huge amount of excercise /Aerobics on offer starting with stretching around 11am , an upbeat water gym before lunch alongside water polo . More soft stretching and water polo in the afternoon and then about 4pm yes another Aeobics session on the grass next to the pool. Needless to say my bottom never left the sunbed.

I believe there were some more games being played on the beach but we never ventured there during the day other than a trip to the bar for a drink on a few occasions . It was a long walk from the blue wave pool and we didnt feel the connection with the sea here that you have further along the coast . We found it a big disappointment compared to the size of the hotel. . It all felt very hemmed in and seperate from the hotel. Being so close to Naama bay with the constant dive boats and diesel fumes the sea and marine life was not the best that sharm has to offer here . I suppose this is the price you pay if you want to be near the action and bright lights of Naama Bay.

Food at the hotel I thought very good . We ate mostly at the smaller Dome restuarant . Food and layout exactly the same as the main Citadel restuarant but nowhere near as busy and we never had to queue once . Plenty of choice available . Choice of eating inside or by candelight outside.

Breakfast - Plenty of different breads , Danish pastries and coissants . Cereals , fresh fruit salad , yoghurts , chesses etc. Pancakes, french toast with omelettes and eggs being cooked to order . There were also some hot dishes . of fried potatoes, scrambled or boiled eggs , tomatoes, beans etc.

Lunch was always good and I thought better than dinner . Again plenty of choice . Usual salad and bread selection + normally a couple of rice dishes 2/3 meat dishes , 1or 2 pasta choices and a selection for vegetarians . All this alongside potato and veg dishes .

dinner . Similar to Lunch .

Service in the Restuarant was always friendly but despite several tips along the way could be a bit hit and miss .
Tea and coffee was available self service in restuarants and bars all day long but at breakfast when many people are grumpy why do we have to wait for a waiter to fill our cups , swiveling on our seats trying to attract attention. This seems to be common place in Egypt . Would it really be that difficult to leave the self service option at hand too.
We also found that after 8pm service again was hit and miss . Quite often most people had eaten and only a few tables for 4 were set up ready . Being a family of 5 and needing a larger table there never seemed to be any of these reset after a certain time . Our dirty plates also piled up of an evening and waiters seemed to have switched off.

Entertainment wasnt great but this is common place in Egypt and you could at least take a stroll into Naama bay if you chose to.

There was a mini disco every evening followed by a show or audience participation offering from the Italian animation team in several languages . We didnt feel this was very inviting unless you wanted to sit on a row of white plastic chairs with no tables. There is a bar area next to the stage but this is walled off and if you wanted to sit here at a table you couldnt see the show.

The only other offering was the same guy on his saxophone every evening outside the citadel restuarant. Unfortunately he bored us to tears every evening so we just went to bed at 10pm deflated .The spinning man did make an appearance one night but just my luck I was ill in bed.

There wasnt really much for older children and teenagers to do. The gym was far too far to walk to over at the sonesta club . We saw only an odd pool table in strange area . Something for the older children to do is desperately needed . A couple of pool tables close to one of the bars or an area to kick a ball around or a bastekball net would be a much needed addition.Maybe we missed something but all we saw were restuarants and pools

All staff were very friendly and a big thank you to Mohamed the towel man at the Blue wave pool for setting up our sunbeds so lovely every morning .

To sum up this is a good quality hotel but we didnt like the location which for many would be ideal for it’s close proximity to Naama bay. But for us, waking up to see the beautiful Red sea and being able to see it stretching out before us is an important ingredient to our holiday and we just didnt feel it here.

we stayed at the park which is one of three hotels on the jaz mirabel complex. you have the club which seemed to be based around the germans scandinavians. the park is for GB, french italians. the beach hotel is for all.we looked around all three holels and found the beach is the 5 star which is very large but there is lots of room.
The park hotel where we stayed is absolutly beautiful.on arrival we were taken to our room and the luggage arrived with in 2 minutes.the rooms all face towards the pool and are large enough for our familt of 2 adults 2 children aged 10 13.we found the food at all the meals to be excellent with enough choice for everyone.all the staff in all the bars restaurant we perfect in all aspects.the only downfall was the night time entertainment which was well naff.lucky for us their was another family with kids the same age as mine so they went off together and were very safe.
we will be going bach to this hotel next year and would recommend it to anyone.

Stayed for 1 week, flew in from Luton. The Coral Sea hotel is very big, tired and in need of some refurbishment, but the grounds very well kept. Room cleaned every day, large balcony and a bath. You also got towels. Food very good - suggest going in for the 8.30 sitting, as much less busy. Beers and wine selection good also. Staff nice, but pester you every day around
