We were supposed to stay in the sister hotel brisa sol but were changed at the last minute. Fab apts spotless, sunloungers on the terrace like sofas. had an apt that led straight to the pool.Poolbar food fine. entertainment only on a sun night. karaoke style.marco in bar couldnt be more helpful. large beer 2 euro, magners or gin and tonic 3 euros. had 10 days never saw a cloud, last 4 cloudy and wet.Reception helpful. Tv had bbc itv.

We have just come back from a week at this hotel and I have to say we found it clean, the staff were all friendly and extremely hard working. The only down side to the week was the entertainment but having stayed in many hotels over the years we have never found the entertainment that good!!
The food is buffet style and we found that there was always plenty there (maybe because we were on the first sitting for the evening meal - they run different sitting times as the restaurant is not large enough to cope with everyone coming in at once)

No air con weather was bad which meant we were freezing. We had to put matress against as it was so drafty. bathroom was old and dirty couldnt wash properly as it was cold. Complained and asked to be moved to be told that it wasnt possible. Spoke to Thomas Cook rep, who thankfully got us out of a supposively 4 star complex. I would rate this 2 star minus, didnt even have a phone.

Alvormar is a centralised hotel with town 5mins away,beach 5/10mins away,bus stop taxi rank on the doorstep.The hotel rooms are well equipped,tv,microwave,a 4 ring cooker,toaster,cooking utensils plenty of crockery etc. Staff/housekeeping are excellent. The poolside is cramped but clean,snacks available,as is alcohol. A great area to watch birds do their eveningsong very entertaining. Ive stayed here three times without complaint,hotel has its own beauty salon launderette next door.The primary school is on the same stretch of road,some balconies look onto main road but not an inconvenience.All rooms have air coditioning.
