Returned last week from a fabulous fortnight at the Marianna Studios. Maria, Yiannis, Manos & Vicky are so friendly, it’s like staying with family! Maria is a superb hostess, always ready to chat & she addresses you by name which adds to the family feel.
The full English breakfasts are great & set you up for the day. You must stay for the barbecue on Friday. We don’t usually like barbecues at apartments but Maria’s is real value for money, more than enough food for seconds if you want them.
The apartments are bright, airy & spotlessly clean. The cooking facilities are very basic – but just the same as other apartments I have been to in Greece. Who wants to cook on holiday anyway?
We have been to Malia several times over the last 10 years. This is the first time we have stayed at the Marianna but we won’t stay anywhere else now. Great holiday can’t wait to return!

We weren’t sure what to expect as we booked a cheapish holiday last minute, but the Mourtemeno Apartments in Sivota were lovely. Really quiet location.
5 minutes to the nearest restaurant. 15 minute stroll to the harbor & all the waterfront bars & restaurants. 5 minutes to the nearest beach. 50 minutes to an absolutely wonderful beach. So a nice location. …
