Terraza Mar Suites – Puerto Rico – Gran Canaria

We stayed here with our 18 year old son & we thought these apartments were great. They were spotless & very friendly. The balcony was massive & the living space was ample-looking around I think we made the right choice. We have visited Gran Canaria a few times but we normally go to Melonares which is very low key, Puerto Rico was an eye opener-very lively, we enjoyed our stay & was perfect for a week.

We ate out every night & would recommend MURPHYS KITCHEN, the food was really nice & homely & the staff where first class, we went to a few nice restaurants & paid about £70 euros for the three of us but had a nicer meal at MURPHYS & it was as cheap as anything. All in all we had a great time, I would recommend these apartments you wont be disappointed. …

Booked a last minute package holiday here & this is a basic but pretty hotel, the staff were very friendly. We considered the nighttime entertainment to be poor, but it could have just been the weeks we were there.

The food was adequate, & always a good choice. We found it difficult to get served at the hotel bar as most of the time there was only one on duty. There is another bar belonging to the hotel where the entertainment is but you have to pay for your drinks (but they are half price for the all inclusive guests).

Overall I would not return to this hotel because there was not enough for us to do.

We brought our two children aged 6 & 11. The children’s swimming pool was tiny and there wasn’t much in the way of entertainment for kids. But the apartments were clean and nice, & the staff were friendly & helpful throughout our stay.

I wouldn’t recommend it for families only for the above reasons, but it’s perfect for couples seeking a comfortable & relaxing holiday with good size balconies & lovely views over Puerto Rico, a big swimming pool (adult) with pool bar & close to the centre.

Not a bad holiday deal for the money, just not ideal for children.

Been to Gran Canaria 6 times before, & usually stay at Colina Mar. First for this hotel: well the hotel is lovely, the best pool area I have seen, & the sun is out from 9am to 8pm, no shade, excellent. The rooms basic & cleaned every day, location in between Europa Centre & town, taxi 4 euros to town.

Entertainment: pretty bad. Parrot show, snakes & local singers, and bar shuts at 11pm. …

Went for a two week holiday in these apartments at the end of November, just me & my partner. The rooms were very clean on arrival, our room was room 307 right opposite the lift. The bedrooms also faced the lift, so we had a lot of noise with people coming & going at all times in the morning, so not much sleep, then there’s the added noise of the discos from the centre down below, going on till at least 3am! …

Just back from Playa Del Ingles – another great holiday in Gran Canaria, but what is happening at the Barcelo Las Margaritas? This is our 4th year at the Barcelo & although we had a great time standards are definitely slipping. We always stay self catering in the Las Margaritas Suites (apartments), so my comments will relate to these and not the hotel. …
