Pyrgos Apartments was absolutly perfect, the staff were fantastic & soooo funny. They are willing to help whatever the problem. I couldn’t have wished for a better location & a better holiday. Altogether there was 27 of us that went for a wedding & they completely made our day. We have even booked to return next year.

Just returned from our two weeks stay at Lyda Beach in Gouves. Nothing like we expected. Budget travel advertise this as quiet & relaxing appartments. Nothing further from the truth: a noisy lift that only takes you to the first floor? Annoyingly loud music in the pool bar until very late & absolutely appalling behaviour of some tourists singing (roaring in fact) until 5 in the morning the day before our departure. Overall very poor - non existent even - management in the place. Don’t go there if you are looking for peace & quiet.

Arrived at the Lato hotel early in the morning and the friendly staff made us a coffee. Room good by Greek standards - had a kettle which was useful, hairdryer, TV & a good very clean shower room. The location is good, around a 15 minute walk to Aghios Nikolaos with a nice beach around 5 minutes away. Really nice places to eat in Aghios Nikolaos and remember if you arrive on a Wednesday thats market day. Staff were very friendly at the hotel. Would definately recommend this hotel & would visit again.

We stayed in the Primavera apartments in Malia. We were a bit worried because its a twenties holiday but we were surprised. We had a great holiday, the staff were great, a real holiday family and very welcoming. Maria is just the nicest person you could ever meet and any problems are met with a “no problem”, then sorted out with no fuss. The pool is a bit small but it did the job. Nice bar with it & food served to your sunbed! The beach is seconds away & the nightlife right on the doorstep - a perfect location for lazy days & late nights! I’m hoping to return in September!

Went to the Stelios apartments in the old town Malia in Crete. Dont go there. The staff were rude, the rooms were filthy, the price of drinks was ridiculous. There was a very rude & arrogant waiter behind the bar. Waste of money. Cockroaches, spiders and loud music till all hours. Do’nt go.

Had a great weeks holiday at the Petra Mare hotel on Crete. Was a bit worried after reading some of the reports other people had posted but the main negative point is with the tour operator - the transfer from the airport. 4hrs on the plane then 3. 5hrs on the coach. Crazy - just one coach dropping everyone off, so it goes all the way in the opposite direction first, then you are the last ones getting dropped off & taking nearly as long to get to the hotel as it did to fly from Wales to Crete! That does need to be sorted. And not the hotels fault!

Hotel was spotless, rooms were cleaned every day & towels changed, the food was great and if there isn’t something for you to chose from then there must be something wrong with you because there was so much variety.

The Sensatori Resort staff couldn’t do enough for you & were really friendly. If you

Nice area of Crete and the Piskopiano apartments were very good. Friendly staff, but not the most friendly boss. Stayed for 2 weeks, had only clean towels once in the last week “as we were going home” but after a discussion we were allowed to have almost half the towels shifted. Should be out at 10 in the morning or you can pay

Have just returned from 7 days at the Nana Beach All Inclusive Resort.
The grounds that this hotel is set in are wonderful and very spacious, you cannot fault the grounds and the space for sun bathing. You can be in the midst of all the activities or disappear off onto a small cove of your own overlooking the sea for a relaxing time.

Unfortunately I cannot agree with all previous comments made as we were very disappointed wuth the choice and variety of food. It was fine if you like chips with everything but the meals were very samey and you could also see the same for dinner as you had from lunch. Having stayed in a lot of AI hotels, I have to say this is one of the poorest.

Also our room was damp and freezing cold and there was no heating facilities so therefore slept with 3 blankets on each bed and had to purchase socks to wear in bed too!! You don’t expect this in a hot foreign country!! The rooms were very basic and you couldn’t swing a cat in the bathroom or on the balcony.

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly and assisted with all requests we made in a prompt and professional manner.

The entertainment was very much centred around the germans, with their being a separate amphitheatre for them and an international one for everyone else. I thought this was very poor. Also there is no english flag outside the hotel but all other nationalities. Strange.

I think that if these small minor issue’s were resolved and there was a small refurb maybe it would be worth a visit but otherwise I don’t intend to return in the near future.

When we first arrived at the Stefanos Apartments we were greeted by some ‘over-friendly’ people who were basically just pervy PR’s who worked in the hotel bar. Our passports were taken along with a 50 Euro deposit, which never found its way back to us.

The rooms were tiny, with hardly any facilities. We had a bowl and a spoon, no pots or pans to cook anything with. The bathroom…
