Following advice I took the train from Malaga Airport to Los Boliches, the stop before Fuengirola. Incidentally the train station IS now signposted from the Arrivals level in the airport. Quite a walk from the terminal to the station: might not be good in very hot or wet weather. Very easy transfer by train and then just a couple of hundred yards to walk from the station to the hotel.
Had a very large room - two double wardrobes, large bathroom, double bed, two seater sofabed, desk etc., and a balcony with a view straight out to sea.
Lovely quiet hotel, which suited me. I would say it is not especially geared to families with young or teenage children, though there is a public play area right next door.
Breakfast was buffet style. Didn’t seem to change from day to day, but offered a good variety, ranging from fresh fruit, canned fruit, dried fruit, cereal, cold meats and cheeses, lettuce and tomato, bacon, baked beans, fried eggs, several varieties of sausage and numerous kinds of bread. Tea and coffee were both readily available.
There is a bar and on Friday night I noticed a keyboard had been set up. I didn’t use the bar, as it seemed rather dark and characterless and there were several local bars nearby.
The location is right on the seafront. Out of the hotel turn right and walk along towards the centre of Fuengirola. Behind the hotel is a largely Spanish suburban area, note especially well-to-do, but interesting. There are good supermarkets and a department store (El Corte del Ingles) nearby.

Came home yesterday after spending a lovely week at this hotel. I previously read all the reports about the BUG and was so worried I even wrote to my holiday company who assured me there were no problems. I was still very apprehensive when I arrived at the Beach Club. However, I have to tell you that it was absolutely brilliant. I never heard one single person complain about the food, the bug, the cleanliness. I do not believe this bug exists. I do believe that there are people who get stomach upsets especially after watching some of them overfill their plates and stuff themselves silly, all washed down with plenty of booze. There are handwipes provided at the entrance to the restaurant - what a good idea. The staff are friendly and there is always someone testing the temperature of the food with a little electric probe. The food was piping hot, fresh and such a wide variety, you would have to be mega fussy to be unable to find something you liked.
Bedrooms were light and airy. Bed was rock hard (for me anyway). Maids were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble.Beds made and changed every day and fresh towels every day. Loads of sunbeds. The pools are freezing and the indoor heated pool was so full of kids that you couldn’t get a look in. Didn’t think much of the entertainment, but thats a personal thing and I didn’t think the public areas of the hotel were very comfortable, the seating needs updating, but what do you want from a 3 star hotel. Met loads of people who have returned to this hotel year after year.I would not go back to this hotel - because we never go back to the same place twice - another personal choice, but lots of people do return.
There is a bus stop right outside the hotel and you buy a ticket to Torremolinos Centre for 1 euro 10. This drops you at the bus terminal, just a short walk from San Miguel Street (brilliant shopping here). The public buses are an excellent way to get about and so cheap. Taxi from centre of Torremolinos back to the hotel was 7 euros. We did find the hotel to be a bit far out from the hustle and bustle, but if you like walking then its no problem. My advice - if you want a good value for money holiday, then just book it. Take the usual precautions when on holiday abroad, dont over indulge, dont get too sunburned and WASH YOUR HANDS! Enjoy it - we did.

Have stayed here 4 times over many years, the first 3 were with my family and it suited us very well. Now I’m in my 50s, my partner and I have just found this very good hotel is not for us anymore. I think it is still a good family hotel as many young families seemed to be enjoying themselves, The very steep hill leading up to the hotel (that I used to run up) has become difficult. The staff are friendly enough, good bar service, nice snack bar. They do need to purchace some matresses for the sun loungers as it is not very comfortable laying on a lump of hard plastic all day. Also some more parasols as they had all been reserved by 7am. We were in one of the new studios, and were very impressed. It was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The door card operates the electricity so not advisable to put any frozen food in fridge as it defrosts when you go out. Other similar hotels have the fridge on a bypass. Had a good holiday but my love of the Hotel Bali has come to an end.

We arrived at the apartments at about 10pm after getting the train to Benalmedina station a taxi to the apartments (7Euros). Got the key and were in the room in about 10min. Apartments were lovely, we had a pool view and could also see the sea, but there was a apartment block in the way, but could see either side of it, we were on 5th floor. As has been said by previous review the apartments had everything you could want. Telly in bedroom had BBC1 but the one in lounge didn’t but we asked at reception the next day they sent someone up to fix that problem, no bother. We had to pay 20e for remotes but got that back when we left.
Free safe, you picked your own code put it in. Had electic shutter on balcony doors which felt very safe.
Plenty of glasses, cutlery, crockery and towels. Use dishwashing machine, washer dryer (put knob on f for drying. Only problem was that all info given (except for safe) was in spanish.
Apartments a nice size for my husband and I but maybe a bit of a squeee for 4 people. Balcony had table and 2 chairs.
The whole hotel was very clean you didn’t have to wait too long for the lifts.
We had a great holiday and if we ever go back would use these apartments again.

Reception staff were excellent. Had an awful view from our room recpetion offered us a choice of 2 others which were great and they didnt have to as we hadnt paid extra for a sea view or anything. Excellent facilities both outdoor pools were too cold when we went at the end of march so the inside pool was lovley. Life guards very friendly and efficient. Patrice aka Beny the Tiger really made the holiday for us though. Our little girl is a bit shy and he really made an effort to get her involved.
The location isnt great though bit out of the way but its good exercise and a pleasent walk.
The breakfast is fantastic but not impressed with evening meal. Ok i guess for what we paid but if I went again would just book bb.
I dont have any faults with the hotel but one thing that took me by suprise was the amount of groups of young people. bad language and drunken idiots spoilt a few days by the pool. We were on the 2nd floor the same as the disco, after 12 the doors were closed but it was really noisey with people coming out. We did complain once to reception and to there credit it was dealt with promptly. We did speak to people on other floors who heard nothing on a night though. I mentioned this to reception on leaving and the guy mentioned they get a lot of stag do’s because of the price which is a fair comment.
