I did not intend to book up an all-inclusive holiday deal as I always eat out for dinner, but it was nice to get a snack & a beer on return from the beach, a G & T before dinner & a cocktail upon return.

The hotel was easily the best I have stayed at in Goa in the 3 star category. Excellent staff, plenty of management around the desk & the feeling that they cared how your stay went.

Their basic rooms have two beds, enough hot water, TV, A/c & fan & I found mine perfectly adequate. I did ask to see one of their rooms from the next grade up but it was exactly the same apart from a big double bed. Not really worth the extra money.

Stayed here in Jan 2012 Santana & Teresa were really helpful & polite. The room we had was room 3 at the side of the guest house, overlooked gardens from another house from the one balcony & overlooked Antonio’s next door from the kitchen balcony.

We found this room small, the double bed was pushed up against the wall. There was a TV & A/C, wardrobe which didn’t lock although there was a key for it, & we had a bamboo two seater in the room. The kitchen area was big, full size fridge, even a cooking ring kettle. Plates, cutlery, plenty of cupboard space for food if that’s what you want.

Our room 6 was big, plenty of space, big wardrobe with a lockable draw, & plenty of coat hangers. Two bedside cupboards. Large coffee table. Only one electric point you need to take an extension for more appliances.

Bathroom clean, plenty hot water, on the small side though. The balcony was massive with two cane chairs, lovely garden views, think it’s the biggest balcony out of all the rooms. Our room faces the back, it’s the back of Angarra restaurant.

Would say there’s roughly 20 steps up to the first floor where our room was, it’s on a long landing. We paid 1,300 rps a night; bet you could get it cheaper if you haggled hard. But all in all it was a nice holiday & we would stay there again no problems.

On arrival we were picked up by a cab arranged by the hotel. When approaching the hotel from the Candolim Road, I thought we had made a big mistake as the lanes we drove through looked a bit grim, with big puddles. The Hotel entrance was small as was reception.

We were shown to our room which looked nice enough, then were asked if we would prefer a larger room. We had a look at the other one & decided to take it as it was indeed bigger with an extra bed. All rooms have air-conditioning, TV, fridge, a wardrobe, & shelf space under the TV. Beds were comfy. Bedding & towels were changed daily. There was a small balcony at the rear of the room, & you could also sit out at the front overlooking the bar/pool.

The Moonlight is situated up a narrow lane heading towards Pretty Petals. But you can also follow the road around the rear of Rising Waves & past Pretty Petals.Santana & Theresa are very welcoming & will help out with anything you may need. Santana even met us at 5:30 am on the morning of our arrival, with a cold bottle of water at hand. Much needed after the farce that is Dabolim airport.

We were advised by friends who have stayed here for a number of years, & the apartment we had was owned by the same guy who owns JJ’s on the main road, in fact he owns all the apartments in the block. We needed a bit more space than JJ’s as they were room only, but Greenpeace has a separate living room & kitchen.
