Whispering Palms Beach Resort – Candolim – Goa
I did not intend to book up an all-inclusive holiday deal as I always eat out for dinner, but it was nice to get a snack & a beer on return from the beach, a G & T before dinner & a cocktail upon return.
The hotel was easily the best I have stayed at in Goa in the 3 star category. Excellent staff, plenty of management around the desk & the feeling that they cared how your stay went.
Their basic rooms have two beds, enough hot water, TV, A/c & fan & I found mine perfectly adequate. I did ask to see one of their rooms from the next grade up but it was exactly the same apart from a big double bed. Not really worth the extra money.
Rooms surround a clean looking pool which, because of the All-Inclusive deal was busy during the day & at night. There was entertainment every night & a good atmosphere, unlike some hotels where everybody goes out.
It is 3/4minutes walk from the beach & a 100 yards from the main road. Just across from the hotel gate is a money changer/shop/internet place, although I had heard that the hotel had wifi.
Yes, I will come back here next time. Try as I can, I can’t think of anything to criticize.
