Scotland’s Hotel – Pitlochry – Scotland – UK and Eire

My sister & I stayed for their “Twixmas” break i. e. 3 nights half board in between Xmas & New Year. The Hotel in the brochure looked excellent with what looked like first class facilities.

Whilst the rooms were in general very good, the standard of service in the dining room was shocking & certainly nowhere close to the apparent 3 stars.

The general attitude of most staff left much to be desired & on one occasion at breakfast my own table & another had been waiting for so long that when the waitress finally brought two plates in, 16 guests at two other larger tables immediately started cheering & clapping loudly & asking if it was hot – which I think says it all!.

A number of other guests who have been going there for several years all said that the standards had deteriorated dramatically & that they would not be coming back. Needless to say, I wont be returning.
