Royal Beach Hotel Barcelo - Sunny Beach - Bulgaria

We stayed in the Royal Beach Hotel for one week, at the end of May, first week in June. On first view the hotel is stunning. Check-in was fine and the staff friendly. We where staying self catering & this is where the disappointment started.

We where told to go out of the hotel & to the left which brought us into a shopping mall kind of thing. Then we had to go in a door & then up to the apartment - not exactly what it says in the brochure. I booked the holiday last September & asked for a pool view & was told this wouldn’t be an issue as I was booking so early. But we had a view of the shopping centre!

The apartment was very clean & modern & was cleaned every day. That evening I asked about the pool view & was told that we could have it but it was 18 euro per person per day and I think that we should have been told that when booking - it is alot of money to see the pool.

Overall the apartment was fine but bear in mind you are not in the hotel (which is fabulous) and the drinks are twice the price of anywhere else. One last thing - the pool is freezing! We had a brillant time in Sunny Beach & I might stay in this hotel again but not in the apartments.
