Plaza Palmeras Apartments - Puerto Del Carmen - Lanzarote

I am booking another holiday to Puerto Del Carmen for all my girls to go away again. I must say that I am definitely booking to go to the Plaza Palmeras again. It was one of the best holidays I have been on. A few comments:

That hill! Don’t get me started on it! First time we got down the thing but I couldn’t get up without stopping for breath. Funny, but after having a few drinks in heels I was up it like a shot! Gets you really fit.

I didn’t really speak to the staff other than the bar man & the entertainer who was great. He was a clown at the beginning of the night. And a sort of stripper/bar man juggling bottles for the elder people. Absolutely fab!

The apartment we stayed in was right at the back & we could see the most beautiful view of the sea, mountains, beach etc again beautiful! Although the people who were in the apartment before us got something robbed so we were a bit wary about our personal stuff. But then again who isn’t.

Erm, the pool. Ohhhh so cold, but very refreshing after the sun was so hot! Great for chilling in, if you can grab a sun lounger! We went self catering & it disappointed me that when you sleep in you miss breakfast so you have to get up really early & if you miss it you effectively paid for something you’re not getting. We did have to rent a toaster & what-not but I don’t see why people make a fuss about it.

The only problem was if you went to get big bottles of water you have to carry them all the way back to your apartment, their is a spa nearby & a supermarket just at top of the hill. The beach was fantastic but be careful and wear sandals all the time because I burnt my feet on the sand & I got burnt the first days we were there, so take some lotion & aftersun!
