Newport Bay Club Hotel - Disneyland Paris - France
I have mixed feelings about the Newport Bay Disney Hotel at Disneyland Paris. The good stuff first. The location is very good with a pleasant 10-15min walk to Disneyland along a pretty lakeside.
Breakfast is good with lots of continental options (no cooked stuff) , cereals & yogurts, fruits etc. The cleanliness & the rooms was OK and the outdoor pool was great (we had 30 degree heat & sunshine).
Now the not-so-good. the prices in the restaurant were way too expensive for what it was. The lifts are rubbish and I would estimate only 50% of the lifts worked during our stay. Which ones were broken varied from day to day. The design of this hotel means that if you are on the 1st floor (which is one floor below the reception on the 2nd) then to get out, you need to take a lift from floor one to floor two, walk past reception (always very, very busy) & then take another lift (there’s only one small lift on other side of the hotel) to get down to the restaurant & rear lakeside exit!! It is a real faff, especially for families with buggies & given it’s a Disney hotel, you expect better.
The prices in the restaurant & bar are horrendous - two coffees & a kid’s orange cost me 10 euros. Two adults & two kid’s buffets with a half bottle of wine & a kid’s lemonade was 78 euros!!
